I’ve been off my depo injection for nearly 3 months with no period yet just cramps and I’ve been have been positive over nation tests since the middle of November 2021 and I went to the clinic to ask them why I was having a positive ovulation test but no period and they said that that is normal as my body is trying to get back to normal after stopping the depo injection but if I don’t have a period by February then to come back and be seen I had asked if I was infertile as a con and long-term side-effects of the injection is fertility after been on it for over a year but I was only on it for 2 shots which each injection last three months before a top up is needed and my partner and I had s*x for the first time since I’ve been off the depo and he pulled out but he said he definitely had precum but he’s not to sure if a little semen went inside before he pulled out and when I tested my ovulation test today it was positive so I’m scared to go to the Gp but what’s the chances of being pregnant

Ps I do want a baby sending baby dust for 2022 for whoever claims it

Which tests were you using? The ones I’ve used are the cheap line ones which get darker. Were they darker in Nov or today?

I've used one step ovulation strips and even went to the clinic who said they can't test if I'm actually ovulating just to try and see what happens todays one was a very strong positive it won't let me post the picture as I'm a new member

So you never had sex when on the depo?

Also when you say positive ovulation test, you do know that it's only a positive if the test line is as dark (or darker) than the control line?

No I Havnt had sex this was the first time in a year. My depo ended 4th October 2021 I Havnt had a period yet and and when I went to the clinic they said have sex and if I fall pregnant I fall pregnant they don't know if I'm at my peak of ovulation but I can ovulate without a period but I did the dead yesterday and tested yesterday it was a positive ovulation test I did an ovulation test this morning and it was stronger positive the test line came up straight away and the clinic said these ovulation test are correct

It's hard without seeing photos of the OPKs, but if both lines are as dark as each other then that is a positive OPK (2 lines will always appear on them, even when negative)

If you are constantly getting positives, and you're definitely not pregnant (you can get positive OPKs when pregnant apparently), then I'd assume its just your body's hormones settling down after coming off the depo. It can take months. Bit like how it can take months after a pregnancy for hormones to settle

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick, I thought you were worried about the depo and not getting periods.

If you had sex yesterday, soonest I would test is in 10 days time, then assuming you don't have sex again, if you don't have a positive test in 20 days time I'd assume that pull-out sex didn't get you pregnant and you can relax.

Thank you my partner did say he definitely had precum but he's not to sure if he did ejaculate a little before he pulled out in time
