Worried about cramping at 4 1/2 weeks!?

Hello,

I'm currently around 4 1/2 weeks pregnant and waiting for my first appointment with the midwife.

I've been cramping pretty consistently for the last week or so and although it isn't painful, it's very uncomfortable (it's woken me up once or twice).

Has anyone else experienced this?? I havent had any bleeding but starting to feel paranoid as this is my first pregnancy!

Thank you !!

Cramping is completely normal and a sign the baby is bedding in and everything is growing. Have had it pretty bad with all pregnancies. If you get bright red blood with it than that’s not a good sign normally but otherwise, see it as a positive despite how much it can hurt! Happy 9 months!

Thank you! I think I'm just overthinking with it being our first! Smile

Of course ! It feels so much like strong period pains, it really is scary and a bit cruel! In the end I found the pains reassuring as realised it was baby getting snug and everything growing 💕

This is a much better way to think about it! We will be booking for an early scan so hoping to settle my mind a little x

Good luck with the scan and the next 9 months x
