Recurrent miscarriage. Intralipid infusion Bristol/South West anyone?

Hi I’m currently pregnant for the 6th time this year after 5 miscarriages. I had a consultation this morning with the specialist Dr Gorgy in London who has prescribed me progesterone pessaries, prednisolone and clexane and recommended I have intralipid infusion as soon as possible too. However I live near Bristol and am not in the position to travel to London once a fortnight for it, I wondered if anyone knew of any clinics in the south west/Bristol or even Midlands/Wiltshire/Gloucestershire that I could look into please? Or if they offer it at my local hospital, I’m under the care of the recurrent miscarriage clinic at southmead but getting hold of them is near impossible.
Google isn’t much help!
Thank you x

Can anyone help at all
Unfortunately I’m experiencing miscarriage number 6 but would be good to know where I can get this treatment in the future

I am so sorry ❤️ @WillowRose1411 I just had miscarriage number 6 as well, recovering from surgery.

I've got an overactive immune system so was on a full immune protocol but I'm under Dr Shehata so do my intralipids there. I know you can get intralipids at a place called Cherish but that's in Sutton Coldfield in the Midlands. There is a company that you can book at home but I don't know what they're called - if you are on Facebook there is a group called UK storms and rainbows, if you joined and posted in there, I think they'd know. It costs more to have it at home I think.

Sending you love ❤️ xx

Hi @WillowRose1411 - I really am so sorry for your losses. It doesn't feel quite enough to say that though. I'm in the exact same position as you as we suffered our 6th miscarriage in August. I have been looking for somewhere to give intralipids near Bristol as I'm based here too. I have had them through Dr Shehata in Epsom but, like you, I really can't keep travelling down there & the thought of going back there after the last miscarriage fills me with absolute dread as the clinic is where we found out our baby didn't have a heartbeat. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful other than I've also read about Cherish in the Midlands & looks as though you can just book the intralipids online. It's really not too far from Bristol - about an hour & a half so I've enquired about going there. I can let you know how it goes if that would help?

Really hope you've managed to get through Xmas and as shit as you're no doubt feeling, you're definitely not alone!! Xx

@Tumby thank you so much for your reply. I am so sorry for your losses too, although you wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone it gives me comfort to talk to others in a similar situation. These groups and one on Facebook has helped me a lot through this hell.(happy to recommend if you aren’t on it?)
I’m due to travel to London in 8 days with my husband to undergo the genetic blood tests with Dr Gorgy, so depending on the results will need to hunt down intralipids a bit closer as travelling to London is tricky! I know there are companies that come out to you if you have a prescription from a Dr but I believe they are about double the price so it’s an option, but maybe travelling might be better?
I know how you feel about the emotional connection too, anytime I have to go to southmead it fills me with dread as that’s where I discovered my mmc (number 5 in October which was by far the worst one emotionally and physically as I got to 9 weeks)
Let me know how you get on, or feel free to connect privately on here and we can try to find each other on Facebook? Good luck to you. I hope 2022 is kinder to the both of us xx

@WillowRose1411 I've just been trying to send you a private message but I seem completely unable to figure it out!! Do you want to ping me a message (if you can!) and I can give you my Facebook details. I'm so ridiculous when it comes to technology. It would be really nice to connect with someone also in Bristol that has had similar experiences. But like you say, I wouldn't wish it on anyone at all. It's the most horrific rollercoaster.
Oh gosh, I totally feel you on the emotional pain being the worst the further you get. We were 9 weeks too and saw her heartbeat a couple of weeks prior to having the mmc in August. The emotional pain has been unbearable. I'm terrified about starting again, not that I'm able to as my periods just don't seem to be coming back to normal.
Yes please, I'd really appreciate info on the Facebook groups too. Hope you're having an ok evening and getting through the grim, cold January! Really hoping 2022 offers hope for us both xx
