8 days late & BFN’s - could I still be pregnant?

Trying for second baby and currently 8 days late. HPT’s over the past few days have all been BFN’s. GP said to wait another week and then they’ll offer a blood test.

Could I still be pregnant? Or am I just getting my hopes up and my period has just decided to delay itself?

@JJHN22
8 days is very late. What brand tests are you using? Did you ovulate late? I would expect a period 14 days after ovulation (at least thats the info I have read).
Try using a first response test (most sensitive test available to buy) and use very concentrated urine (liquid gold color).
Good luck 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I’ve used First Response and Clear Blue. My first pregnancy showed a good solid line from Clear Blue.

Having PCOS, I’ve been advised that OPK’s won’t be reliable so I’m never 100% sure when I’ve ovulated. I use the Flo app to try and estimate it.

Have you ever skipped ovulation/a period? I have pcos too and have just been in the same situation as you. I never know when I'm ovulating for sure but can usually rely on AF about 12-14 days after EWCM. This time no AF arrived and tests were BFN. Now I have EWCM again so assuming I didn't ovulate at all. Currently on CD 45 😒

Hiya, when I was being investigated for PCOS, my periods could be between 2-6 months apart. This was before trying for first baby. GP put me on metformin and I fell pregnant the second month of taking it.

So even though things are more generally more regular on their own nowadays, perhaps maybe you’re right and I have skipped a period or not ovulated this time. I don’t have much discharge at all since having first baby – just seems to have vanished, so I don’t have that to go on either.

Sorry to hear you have PCOS too and have been in the same situ – pretty frustrating at times isn’t it?!
