Hi there,

This year I’ve had 4 very early losses (chemicals) and my most recent loss last month, number 5, I managed to make it to 9 weeks with the help of progesterone pessaries before discovering no fetal pole on a scan.
I’ve just discovered I’m pregnant again, and have been told by the consultant to double my dose of progesterone (2 in morning and 2 in evening) and take a low dose steroid as it ‘can’t hurt’

I just wanted any advice please and to hear any success stories as I am obviously very anxious. I feel like I know what’s coming as the pessaries didn’t work last time.
I look forward to hearing from someone. Thank you x

It seems that lots of people have success taking low dose aspirin during early pregnancy, when they also have histories like yours. That's what I'm trying now!

@Kaw10 thanks for your reply. The consultant told me aspirin wouldn’t help me as I have no blood clotting disorder (that they know of) and ‘latest research’ says it’s best to start around 6 weeks.
I’ve definitely heard success stories on it and am torn whether or not to take it.
What advice have you been given on it? Thanks

Hi there I had 4 losses in a row. I took 75mg baby aspirin, 25mg prednisone ( this higher dose is better) , 40mg clexane, 6 progesterone pessaries a day ! I also took intralipids ( have a read about those) every couple of months. For the first time I reached third trimester.
Ask your consultant about a similar meds dosage . Good luck !

I took all the meds from bfp except aspirin which I took from ovulation (iui) and the progesterone

@WillowRose1411 I asked my gynecologist for the progesterone pessaries which she agreed to as they can't harm at all, and I started the aspirin myself, no advice, just my own research.

@Smiler79 thanks for your reply. I’ve been prescribed 5mg predisnolone hoping to start it this week. Had my bfp yesterday and am so torn whether to start aspirin or not. The research and evidence online is so mixed and so is the opinion of drs. I’m still waiting to hear back from the hospital I just feel so alone in this!
Have you had any tests and had a confirmed issue causing your miscarriages or have you been put on these medications without knowing.
@Kaw10 thank you. As I said above evidence is so mixed I just don’t know what to do for the best 😭

I’ve been on baby aspirin for all pregnancies failed and this one where I’m nearly at the end. My clinic and every consultant I’ve had prescribed it.
I was diagnosed with high nk cells and immune issues, which is why I’m on all the other meds. Progesterone because immune system can attack production ( my progesterone is always so bad when pregnant) pred - is your dose high enough?
Clexane and aspirin not because I have any clotting issues but because immune issues can affect blood flow.

There’s a good explanation here of immunes and treatments from the clinic I had them through
