Confusion over Norethisterone dose - is the IVF cycle now ruined?

I'm doing my first cycle of IVF on the NHS. The nurse I've been working with has been hugely confusing from the beginning.

I have regular cycles but was advised to take norethisterone since 1nov. I've been doing that but have just realised I've been taking 5mg a day when I should have been taking 10mg

I've got period pain today and some start of a period coming

I was supposed to have my baseline scan this Tuesday and stop norethisterone on the 19th, wait for period, then start injections

I'm hugely worried this has mucked the whole thing up. The hospital lab is closing down in January and with Christmas coming the next time I could start again would be late feb

If my period comes is it game over for this cycle?

Thankyou so much for any advice
