Trying to concieve baby number 2

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with ttc the second time.

We had our 1st nearly 7 years ago aged 20 and now we are trying for our second and have had no such luck this will be cycle 12.

My GP has said we need to be trying for 24 cycles before they'll look into anything but I honestly don't think I can wait that long.

Alot has changed since I was pregnant in 2014 I'm around 5 stone heavier and seriously struggling to loose weight. I have also had 2 abdominal surgeries within that time and I can help but think something might be wrong.

I have been looking into paying for a private fertility scan for reassurance has anyone else done this?

Morning :) yes we have had a nightmare with number 2. I've sadly had two miscarriages this year. Also been blessed with a few health issues too which have not helped. I have a 2yo and we fell first time trying, easy pregnancy. I was hoping for the same. I am 40 now so feel massively frustrated and questioning wether to give up but just don't feel ready to yet.

Keep going, try and take the pressure off yourself if you can. It really doesn't help.

We fell pregnant with our first when we were only 20. Think we were spoilt with it happening so unexpectedly that the fact it's not happening for us now I am finding it really hard to deal with!

I also am 27, have a 6 year old and up until now haven’t felt ready for baby no2.

I’ve only now come off contraception so am expecting this to be a long process but like you I had a BFP so quickly with no1.

As poster above said, try not to worry and out too much pressure on yourself. These things have a way of happening when we least expect it.

Hi @Ks1994 I'm currently ttc my 3rd and like you I was 20 with my first and had my 2nd without trying at 23. Going into my 12th month ttc also but currently going through an early mc. So it has happened just not successfully. It's very frustrating but try not to stress. Also with you on the weight gain too! Things I did differently this month was take a pregnancy vitamin every day and also dtd every other day from cd8 up until 2 days after ovulation. We're ttc again straight away so im carrying on with the vitamins and going to try and fit in some light exercise as well as trying to eat a bit healthier. Xx

Also, I'm now 30 so a lot older than the first time round!

So sorry to hear about your mc.

I have started taking the proceive vitamins last cycle so hoping they may habe some affect! So difficult my daughter is constantly saying she wants to be a big sister so hoping it happens soon for us x
