Hi, looking for some advice or reassurance really....

I tested positive on clearblue digital day before my period was due said pregnant 1-2 weeks since then ive been having what feels like period type cramps. I haven't been bleeding just the cramps really just wondering if any one else has experienced this?

I have done 2 more tests on different days and they still say pregnant 1-2 which is reassuring but still nervous as i experienced an early loss back in febuary praying this is our rainbow baby.

@Nicn19 I'm 4+5 today and I've been getting on and off period like cramps, from what I can gather it's fairly normal!

Nicn19 · 11/11/2021 11:03

@ChinChilly its just not something you really expect or not something that gets mentioned regarding symptoms! I remember getting cramps straight after i found out i was pregnant the last time but that was followed with heavy bleeding pretty much straight away.
I have had these for the past 3 days but with no bleeding which is keeping me positive.

@Nicn19 I remeber having them in my last pregnancy (ended in MMC) i think aslong as theres no bleeding you're ok. It's all so stressful

The hard part about being so early along is every twinge sends you in a panic. Keep positive thoughts. Remember 1-2 weeks on a cb usually means more like 3-4 weeks since last period

I had such bad cramps at the start of my pregnancy. Far worse than my normal period pains, I thought something was wrong. But just my uterus expanding. I spoke to my GP and she referred me for a scan to ensure it wasn't ectopic. It wasn't and I'm 28 weeks pregnant and all good so far.

I had the most horrendous cramps with my first for the first month. A very healthy boy was produced and is nearly 3. Never found out why!

Nicn19 · 11/11/2021 16:03

@JLQ1020 It sounds the same as me at the moment, its nice to know other women have experianced the same thing i keep expecting to see blood when i go to the toilet but nothing! I need to get the negativity out of my head. Congratulations on your pregnancy hope all goes well x

@toddlersbcrazy ive already got a little boy who is 7 but i cannot remember the pregnancy really he was a complete surprise and only found when i was 6 weeks. Not like this time been trying for number 2 for a year and had one early loss so all is hoping it goes well :)

@Danikm151danik it really does send you crazy - My partner keeps telling me to think positive which i really am trying to do its just so hard when its out of your control. I will feel alot more at ease in a few weeks time but positive thinking until then! :)

Yes! I had such bad cramps with my first ( didn’t realise I was pg) I thought I was approaching an awful period and was taking codeine and ibuprofen. This time the cramps were also awful - but it’s actually a positive sign , it’s everything stretching and growing as the baby does. I did go for private scans though as was still worried but all was fine. I learned to see the cramps positively in the end

@Nicn19 hiya lovely. I'm in the same boat as you. Found out I was expecting my first on 4th November. Digital test said 2-3 weeks and then a week later it was 3+ weeks. I've been getting period like cramps. Apparently it's the ligaments stretching to accommodate baby.

I've had terrible nausea too.

If you'd like a chat please do. I don't know anyone else pregnant like me in the real world so to speak xx
