Hello! Hoping for some advice. My partner and I started trying for a baby and I missed my period for October - we were so excited!! Sadly after urine and blood tests I am not pregnant but still no period! I am normally super regular and track my cycles but now without this period I have no idea why I missed it and when I am due to ovulate next!

The Dr wants me to wait longer and see what happens but as you can imagine the longer it goes on the more worried I get that something is wrong!Confused

Could it be due to stress? This has happened to me before and the doctor said that stress and anxiety can have an impact on our cycles and cause us to miss periods of for them to be delayed.

It's very normal and common to miss a period for essentially no reason, tbh. Could have been a change in diet or exercise, a sick bug, or a random anovulatory cycle. Odds are it'll be back next month. GP will typically not investigate until you've missed 3.

@Xxlaura most women will experience an anovulatory cycle at least once, it's nothing to worry about and your next cycle will be completely normal if that's the case. I remember at least two posters here that actually got pregnant in the month after their anovulatory cycle.

Thanks all! I’ve had a lot happening this month but I’m always so busy I would never class myself as stressed but I have eczema and it’s broken out terrible this month too which makes me think maybe I need to slow down a bit!! My next period would be due any day now so hoping it comes without trying to stress too much at the same time!!
