CB Advanced Fertility Monitor & SPEM

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has any advice. Using the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor for the second month, and have just today got a High reading.

We decided to follow the SPEM plan this month, although began BDing on CD10 rather than CD8. Currently on CD 16. So assuming I'll have a few days of 'High' on the monitor and the 2 days of 'Peak'.

Can I ask, does anyone know if I begin the 3 days in a row following the 'High' reading or following the first 'Peak' reading?

I don't want to be going every other day if I'm missing potential days, but also don't want to tire out BDing too much before hitting the peak!! Or does the peak mean I've already ovulating so three days in a row from then would be too soon?

So confusing! First time using anything other than just doing the dead and hoping for the best! Which worked best first time but not so much now!

Hi @wotsitsandwine I do the same as you. To do it 'properly' the three days in a row should start a day before peak, but in order to find that out it would help to know when that will be. If you're very regular you can calculate it +/-. This month I had a peak two days earlier, so I wasn't able to SMEP 'properly'. But don't worry if you didn't time it according to the plan, it doesn't mean that it won't be successful. Good luck!🤞

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it's hard to know exactly when peak will be. This is only my second month tracking so i still feel a bit confused by it all to be honest.

Will hopefully get my head around it soon!
