TTC after a chemical pregnancy

BabyFeet92 · 21/10/2021 14:20

After experiencing a chemical pregnancy last cycle, I started to read up about it. Some sources suggest that a woman might be more fertile in the month after a chemical pregnancy.

I was just curious to hear other people's experiences in this regard?

And if it's true that your fertility increase, can anyone explain what's causing that biologically? I haven't been able to find a good explanation.

Thanks!

Hi @BabyFeet92
I can't comment on the science but I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle and fell straight away again, 5 weeks tomorrow.
Fingers crossed for you xxx

Hi @BabyFeet92, sorry to hear about your loss :(. It's crap isn't it. I'm currently going through the same thing at the moment (CP on first cycle TTC) so am also interested in getting answers xx

SareBear87 · 21/10/2021 15:04

Was true for me! We didn't even have a hint of a BFP for 7 months, then suffered a CP which nearly broke us. My next cycle (C8) was slightly out of whack and longer than normal but we caught again on the following one (C9). I'm now 11+5 and all is going well ☺️

Berkeys · 21/10/2021 15:12

I’ve had CPs every month for several consecutive months so it can be done. Depends how long your period is delayed by but cycle usually rights itself pretty fast in my experience.

Autumncoming · 21/10/2021 15:16

I had a cp then concieved the following month and ended up with a healthy baby.
Good luck.

Lineeye · 21/10/2021 15:20

I’m in the same boat as you right now after having a cp last month. I had a chemical pregnancy the month before I conceived my son. I got pregnant with him immediately following the cp, and I’m hoping the same will happen this cycle.

Thanks for all the feedback!

@jadeypies and @SareBear87 wow congrats on your pregnancies! Smile Holding thumbs for you that it'll be a healthy 9 months. @SareBear87 I'm sorry to hear you've been through such a rough time.

@Autumncoming that's wonderful!

@RedIvy18 and @Lineeye I'm so sorry for your losses! It's so difficult to have your hopes up and then to feel it being ripped from you. Holding thumbs for us all for next cycle.

@Berkeys wow that must have been rough! I hope you are in a good place now

I read this too and got all excited.

However, I had a CP last month and then this month my ovulation came early and surprised me - I ovulated at CD11 where I have always ovulated at CD13. Consequently it means we weren’t able to DTD as much as I’d been planning to, due to various work commitments. Sad We only managed it one day before ovulation and two days before.

Currently in the TWW and will find out some time this weekend/early next week what’s what.

Would love to hear if anyone else had an early ovulation after a CP?

BabyFeet92 · 22/10/2021 07:43

@Decaffe I'm sorry you also had a chemical last cycle and are feeling frustrated with this cycle. I also get upset if we don't manage to DTD as often as intended during my fertile window. At least the 2 times you managed were very well timed , so don't count yourself out!

That's interesting. I actually ovulated a couple of days late this cycle (CD17, usually around 14) . I'm only 2DPO now, so still a while before I'll know.

Good luck with the last few days of TWW! Holding thumbs for you. Keep us posted.

So sorry you are going through this @BabyFeet92, be kind to yourself.

I had a chemical in July where I bled a bit heavier than a period with some small clots, I ovulated straight after, however, got my period, started trying after that and I'm now 10+4 weeks pregnant Flowers x

BabyFeet92 · 22/10/2021 16:21

Thank you @babyboybluex. Many congrats on your pregnancy! Smile I hope you'll have a healthy 9 months.
