Cd12- clear blue ovulation- still saying Low fertility??

Hello, I was hoping someone would be able to advise please.

This is my first month using Clearblue ovulation tests, where they have a circle for low chance, flashing smiling face for high and smiling for peak.

I think I am on CD 12 and have been testing for 4 days now and they are all Low, circle. Should I be getting high by now??

Starting to worry a bit if I'm honest.

I am using an app which puts my predicted ovulation for this Saturday, CD 16, so maybe there is time yet?

About half of women get a quick surge of LH and about half have a gradual build up over 2-3 days. I’m in the former group so my OPKs are low until the very day before ovulation! Keep testing (twice a day in the run up if possible) and don’t worry!

Hi OP. It depends on how long your cycle usually is. As a rough guide, mine is usually around 28 days. I'd usually get a peak at about day 14 or 15, and a flashing smiley around 12 or 13. If your cycle is longer than that, it will probably be a bit later.

If you're estimating ovulation day, they usually say it's approx 14 days before your period is due, but it will vary slightly.

Oh and also, using apps is only going to be accurate if you're also inputting data such as basal body temp or you've been using other fertility testing methods.

Other than that, they usually just give you a date of 14 days or so before your period is due as your predicted ovulation date. If that is what they've done, you definitely don't need to worry.

I'm not sure why you're concerned about your tests; you're still really early in your cycle.

Have you been testing same time of day and only once a day? If you have tested twice a say it tends to mess the whole thing up. I’ve actually spoken to someone from clear blue about this.
Could also be you will have a quick surge as others have said

I’ve also had months where I never got the flashing smiley and went straight to static

You pay can’t test twice a day with clear blue only with normal opks

Ah that’s good to know @Itsbeen84yearss. Do you know if you are supposed to use FMU with ClearBlue?

I had this panic with the CB ones but keep testing! Make sure you are using FMU with the CB ones, even though that’s the wrong advice for usual OPKs.

My ovulation date was different to my Flo app, even though I’ve used it for years to track my periods, so don’t worry.

@giftswap2020 I don't usually ov til CD19/20 (that's with a 28 day cycle!) & with the CB tests I'd only get hight maybe CD16/17, so don't worry too much OP, once you learn your body & get to understand it's own way of working you won't worry so much, but I appreciate at the start it's stressful💖

I think it is fmu but just follow the instructions to the letter and they are brilliant. I’ve got pregnant lots of times and easily with them ( some miscarriages though)

I'm totally confused as this afternoon there was (TMI) EWCM when I wiped?? But yet this morning was low. We are still "trying" despite what the tests says in the hope we hit it right!🤞🏻

I have 27-28 day cycles and usually ovulate on Day 16. I get fertile cervical fluid on Day 14-16 but always get a CB empty circle right up until Day 14, then it goes straight to a static smiley on Day 15.

So I wouldn't worry too much @giftswap2020. Every woman is different and it's good that you're learning about your individual cycle.

Also, I've used CB advanced tests twice a day and got an empty circle in the morning and a static smiley in the afternoon. My LH surge is usually late in the day. That might have been me using the tests incorrectly, but was accurate for me (I also confirm ovulation using BBT temping)

I did actually use a cheapie test and the line came up fairly dark. But not as dark as the control. So I think it's on its way, 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Will be really praying for a smilie of any sort in the morning!

So this morning it went straight to solid smilie, which I believe is normal for some
women.

We last Dtd on Monday, would I be ok to go tonight and tomorrow and the day after to time it right??

I had this exact same issue, but I get pain when I ovulate in the evening after getting the static smiley in the morning, so I believe it's accurate.

Make sure you dtd tonight.

Yes completely normal to go straight to smiley. For me the day of the smiley worked but won’t hurt to do some extra lol. Just stay lying down with a pillow under your bum for as long as you can
