Afternoon all, first time posting but been following this thread the last few days

I'm on 3rd cycle, AF due tomorrow but had some light brown spotting since Monday which is unusual for me. Going to test in the morning if full on period not here by then.

Completely agree with all you've said about expectations vs reality of getting pregnant. I feel like because it's something people don't talk about much, I had no idea what the reality was like. Would definitely have had my coil removed earlier if I'd known!!

Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting to test and congrats to those seeing their BFPs xxx

@Firsttimetrier hold out I'd say to at least 10 days. I know it's frustrating.

I'm just thinking I'm not pregnant (only 6/7dpo) and waiting for the next cycle to try again haha. Roll on 9 days time when AF is due.

Can I join? I'm 18dpo and still no AF... BFN x a million. TTC for the past 3-4 cycles on baby no. 2. DD was very quickly and easily conceived, but so far zilch. Ridiculous to feel so upset about it at this point, but I've got into a stupid cycle of early testing with FRERs and this cycle in particular I really got my hopes up as AF still hasn't shown, but not a whisper of a second line on the test this morning. Either want my period to show up NOW so I can just move on or a sneaky late BFP! I've heard they're the unicorn result of TTC... 😂

Thank you @Shortmamashortcycles. It's very hard to rest with a 4 year old and work that needs to be done (I'm self employed) 😩 But I do just have to remind myself to take it easy.

Ahh, honestly, there's no such thing as DTD 'enough'. You just need to take me for example! We DTD every day for about 2 weeks and I'm still not pregnant! But I'm also impatient like you 😂 yes my spotting is still on and off at the moment. Light brown, dark brown, bright red, dark red, pink. A little, a tissue full. I'm just impatiently waiting!

Sorry about your bfn's @Squiff70 and @ohmybaby. There is still time though!!! So frustrating when our bodies decide to do something differently each cycle though, isn't it?

Hi ladies! Accidentally bought some tests not realising they were blue dye (I don't know why they are bad but I know a lot of ladies say to avoid haha). Any-who, I took it anyway because I am a POAS addict. And im pretty sure its positive! I will test again in the morning and save my frer for Friday morning (that will be 48hrs after the pink spotting I had - which has not continued!) xx

Ahhh @Missy95 that's so exciting!!! You can't leave us hanging without seeing a picture of the test!!!

Yes I can definitely see that and looks like a good line!! The issue with the blue dye ones is they can give evaps/false positives but they are usually thin and off to one side, not like yours at all.

@Effram oh wow really? Ive never used a blue dye before! Fingers crossed for good results in the morning ☺️ if this is a positive for me, it means I must have had implantation spotting yesterday! Its so hard to find people who have had a bleed before BFP. I was once told it wasn't actually a real thing! Xx

Make sure you update us as soon as you've done the test tomorrow @Missy95!! I really hope my bleeding leads to a bfp but it's a lot more than 'normal' i think xx

I had 4 days of brown spotting starting 11DPO-14DPO! It definitely is a real thing! Got my BFP on 12DPO (last Saturday!) x

Thank you everyone! You have all made me feel so reassured. It will be a worrying pregnancy if it is one; this time last year I fell pregnant but had complications leading to a miscarriage. So I am terrified 🥺 also means due date would be nearly identical. Breathe breathe breathe.

Ahh it’s horrible isn’t it! 🙈 hate this waiting! I’ve been testing every morning & I tested tonight all BFN! I need to stop testing all the time now!
