How to date a pregnancy if pregnant straight after implant removed

I had my implant out on 20th sept. Ive not had a period since and just found out I'm pregnant. Is anyone able to advise on how to date this pregnancy for the purpose of informing the maternity team please? Thanks in advance.

Oh wow congratulations!! I had mine removed on 14th sept and still haven't had a period (I don't think) I did bleed lightly for a few days after getting it out but certainly didn't feel like a period.
Did you bleed after removal? I should say I had to go to gynaecologist to have it removed as doctor couldn't get it.

Could you maybe do a digital test that will tell you?

MamaKitz · 12/10/2021 22:32

@Ridethewaves I've just realised you had the implant, I was talking about having my mirena removed, sorry!!

Bundaberg84 · 12/10/2021 22:33

@Ridethewaves you could try a digital one that indicates the weeks?

Nervousdave · 12/10/2021 23:58

I'd just add two weeks on to your ovulation date, if you know it. They will adjust it at the 12 week scan based on growth x

I had a ds 9 months and 10 days post removal!! No period!

ShaneTheThird · 13/10/2021 00:10

Is a private scan an option? Usually places do cheap deals.

You just tell them you don't know. I got pregnant with DS with the implant still in my arm. They just had to do an early ultrasound for dating purposes.

Well, you can't be more than a month since conception, so go with 6 weeks, though it's probably closer to five, and then at your scan they'll provide your with a more accurate EDD based on measurements.

Congratulations!

Thanks everyone! No period/ bleeding since it was removed and no idea when I ovulated! I think I'll just say max 6 weeks as you say @ThirdElephant and see what they say!
Hope you get a bfp soon too @MamaKitz
In shock a bit, totally didnt expect it to happen this quickly!
