It wasn't directed at me but on a social media post a IG friend said as she was celebrating being a mum ( her kids are 5-8). She said to those wanting a baby hopes the fairy dust works. Maybe some should tell her how babies are really made lol. But comments like this from women with children seems very childish. Am I wrong is there baby creating fairy dust my GP is not telling me about?

MNers often refer to baby dust. I haven’t seen fairy dust.

TTC is such a tough time for people and others try to say things that will help. It usually doesn’t but that’s when we decide whether we appreciate they were well-meaning or get annoyed at their ignorance.

Oh she meant fairy dust as in she is a modern witch that puts crystals in her bra for stressful days.

I hear you, she thought was being thoughtful but instead trivialised someone else struggle why celebrating her own achievements of becoming a mother. I don't want to live in a world were people can't celebrate moments in their life without feeling like that have to include people in insincere ways when it's not necessary.
