28dpo - tests neither getting lighter or darker

I’m 28dpo / 23dp5dt. I’ve been very worried as my hcg levels have been doubling but very low. Due to my anxiety I’ve been testing until I can get a scan but the line now seems to be stuck and not progressing. Should I be worried?

I should say it’s just the last 3/4 days I’ve not seen progression.

Stop taking FRER tests and move on to a CB to see your number of weeks pregnant. That will definitively tell you if your pregnancy is progressing.

Personally I took one FRER the day my period was due, a CB weekly dating the following week where it said 2-3 weeks pregnant then another CB the following week where it said +3 weeks pregnant. Then stopped POAS.

A week or 2 after at 7 weeks I took an early scan to see baby's heartbeat. Good luck

I did one a few days ago which only said 2-3 weeks. I’m worrying as my betas have been doubling but very low

I don’t think Iv seen a darker line to be honest, congratulations, it’s such a nerve wracking stage up to the 12week scan as there is nothing you can do but wait. If you are able to then an early scan privately is a good way to put your mind a rest, i found it helpful

Just because my betas have been extremely low- 16dpo 21.1, 18 dpo 49.8, 22dpo 229.
They are doubling but on the low side. Also I had a miscarriage last cycle so until I have a scan I’m very anxious.

Do you know when you’ll get your scan?
Please don’t torture yourself by continuing to take these tests. The line cant physically get any darker than those lasts few tests.

I have been to EPU today. I should be exactly 6 weeks today based on when I had my IVF. They did an internal scan and first thing she said was that she couldn’t get a good view because my colon was so blocked. I don’t feel constipated in the slightest but she said it can be common in pregnancy. Then she said she couldn’t see any evidence of a baby in my tubes or uterus 🙁 but wasn’t sure if it was just due to my colon being full. So then they did a blood test and my levels are now 2062, so they have more than doubled every 48 hours since the last test. They asked if I wanted to have a laparoscopy there and then to check my tubes properly, but as I have no symptoms of an ectopic and as she said it can be risky if the baby turns out to be in the uterus, I declined. Now I have to take these laxatives and go back in 2 days for another scan. Has this happened to anyone else? I just don’t know what to think.

Hcg of 1000-1500 should identify an embryo so it's baffling they can't see yours which could point to ectopic. This early it's unlikely to have symptoms. Best of luck.

They saw nothing in the tubes either so they’re not sure. Also they said my hcg may still be rising but randomly with an ectopic, not doubling like it is

Sounds like it’s going to just be a horrendous waiting game until the next scan in two days OP :( there’s nothing else you can do now. I have everything crossed for you.

Ectopics aren't always in tubes they can be in other parts too

@Clove86 I had an ectopic in June, and my hcg doubled in the beginning like a totally normal pregnancy. I don't want to alarm you, but it's possible. Do you have any updates?

I still don’t know what’s going on. Had a private scan yesterday and they thought there was something possibly in my ovary. Sent the scan picture to my IVF doctor who thought it looked more like a luteal body than a pregnancy (I’ll attach a pic). Been back to EPU today for a third scan. Still nothing seen in my uterus, but they also do not think the thing in my ovary is a pregnancy. Had bloods taken and waiting for the results. It could be a pregnancy of unknown loca, but the consultant at EPU was baffled at how my hcg has been perfectly doubling. Hopefully today’s bloods will tell us more. It’s very confusing and worrying. Still have no pain or bleeding.

I had spotting but no pain whatsoever. The spotting is what made me go to have an early scan.
