Average HCG levels of a non-pregnant woman?

Bit of a stupid question but would love the answer. I know it's between 0-5miu but does anyone know the average?

Essentially I had, what I think was, implantation bleeding last Saturday (AF due today) and am trying to work out when I can take a FRER. If I started with a HCG level of 0 and it doubled every 2 days, I would get a positive on Sunday, but if I started with a level of 1 I'd get a positive today! I don't want to waste money iyswim

Well, the average is not going to help you either in that circumstance. Also 0 doubled is 0. The maths don't really work in the way you're thinking. If your period is due today and you are pregnant, you should now get a positive on any test.

@stalkersaga thanks for the reply. I took a cheapie test 2 days ago which was negative so I'm nervous to test again and want to make sure I'll get an accurate result as I don't like being stuck in limbo lol. I think I'll go grab a FRER today but maybe try and hold off taking it for as long as I can

If it helps then implantation bleeding isn't really a thing and is meant to happen more often in BFN cycles. I'd trust the FRER from two days ago unless your AF doesn't show up.

@Juno231 I didn't use a FRER on Wednesday, it was just a cheap ASDA test which I think tests positive at a level of 25miu! Don't know why I did it tbh😂
