Should I be seeing a fertility specialist or a Endocrinologist to treat PCO?

Hi.
Should I be seeing a fertility specialist or a Endocrinologist to treat PCO?. I'm 37 so I'm considering going private if I can afford it. Apparently there is a very long waiting list to see an endocrinologist on the NHS.

My doctor told me he was referring me to an Endocrinologist after I had a borderline result for Thyroid (although I'm not sure if that was caused by Biotin in pregnacare as I think I stopped taking it less then two days before my test). I also have had low progesterone the last two month.

But a few days ago I payed to get a fertility pelvic ultrasound and it looks like I have PCO. I don't know if I have the other one PCOS.

thanks
Becky

If you can, then yes go private and see a specialist. They will be able to give you specialized tests and tell you what to do. I wouldn't wait (Trust me, I was "waiting" and pushing back medical tests etc, for years, and it only hurt me and my plans) Good luck!
