7 weeks but no egg sack or yolk?

I wonder if you can help
My wife is 7 weeks pregnant, we are pretty certain on dates because of donor conception.

We had a scan at the end of last week where there was nothing really visible. We were asked to come back in a few weeks. We got a private hcg done this week which came back as 68,000 which Google would say is high I think?

Our clinic (not uk) seems fairly relaxed about the whole thing but we've lost trust in them due to mishandling of some other stuff

We had sort of come to terms with a loss so the hcg has thrown us.

Did anyone else have hcg results in range with nothing on scan?
I'm worried about ectopic pregnancy but our doctor shrugged it off and said come back in a few weeks

I’m really sorry you are having a difficult time with your journey. I’m afraid I can’t give you any personal experience of Hcg levels by weeks but I am very sad to say in my last 2 pregnancies when I was scanned at 7 weeks and there was no fetus I was told it was bad news - I went on to MC a week later.

Did the dr see a gestational sac in the uterus? If not there is a risk it could eptopic hit that could be dangerous. Has your wife had any pain? If you are concerned about that you could get your dr to refer you to an early pregnancy unit in the UK to scan you. Xx
