Ovulation test positive, period due brown spotting

My period was due Friday (last week) but the last few months its been a bit late

I had a bit of bleeding after sex on Sunday and assumed period was on way but it didn't show

I had a very small amount of pink/red blood Tuesday so again assumed period was on way, but no show. I've had some brown spotting but nothing major so I just keep thinking AF is on the way

I decided to take an ovulation test just to see what happened and the other day and it had a line (but I've read it can mean AF is on way) decided to take another tonight as it came up positive straight away

Really confused, am I ovulating like 2 weeks late ? Or could it be detecting pregnancy??

@mummyjojo19 nope I don't! But I'm very tempted to send my husband out to get one !! But I got my hopes up so much last month I just can't see it happening this month

I would especially with the spotting please update if you do I have everything crossed for you xx

@mummyjojo19 he's of to get one now !! I'm pretty confident it's going to be negative but I just need to know! Kind of wish I didn't do the ovulation test now ! As I'm really getting hopes up again

@mummyjojo19 omg it's actually positive!!!!! I'm in disbelief!! Today I ordered a lot of pre conception tablets for me and my husband!!!!

@mummyjojo19 this will be our 2nd !! I think he's a little overwhelmed just like I am !! I have been so paranoid and worried there something is wrong with me for not getting pregnant! X

I feel OK some back twinges and a bit of heartburn (I suffered horrendously with my 1st pregnancy) , don't really feel pregnant though, but I think it's because last month I was obsessed with symptom spotting!! I think I'm just under 5 weeks so obviously still early days

Congrats!! Off the back of this I decided to do an ovulation test this evening, I’ve also read it can be an indicator of pregnancy too - currently 11 dpo - it wasn’t 100% but very very strong 🙊 was going to hold out to the weekend to test but I’ve 1 boots 5 days early test in the house so think I’m going to test tomorrow! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
