Does it matter how long you dip a pregnancy test?

A bit of a random one, but I’m just wondering if it matters or alters the result if you dip a pregnancy test a couple of seconds over the time they say? Because I’m scared that I’m only getting dye stealers because of dipping them a few seconds too long? I can’t find anything on this at all, just that you need to make sure to use enough urine. Hmm

I don't think a few seconds will impact it! You can flood out the tests if there's too much urine, but if you're getting dye stealers that's because there's such high HCG levels - no matter how long you dip a test in it it won't increase the HCGSmile

I thought so! I thought your urine had a certain amount of hcg (which can fluctuate a little bit with fluids) like your blood. I suppose everyone dips for a couple extra seconds for good luck don’t they!
