So you can see a faint line?

OP posts:
ParishSpinster · 17/09/2021 21:52

Nobody can see another line.

Try a different test.

Xojademarshxo · 17/09/2021 22:57

Okay thank you

I can see a faint line by the T. Is that what you mean? Good luck to you.

Bumbers · 17/09/2021 23:02

Yep, a faint line by the T

Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 00:34

Yes I need to know if there is a faint line by the t is there?

How did you confirm ovulation? I'm struggling to see a line, possibly on the last test, but at 16dpo it would be a very definite positive and you wouldn't need to question it, so I think negative.

Get a different test today. If it's negative, it's likely you didn't ovulate when you thought. Best wishes.

Hopefulhedgehog · 18/09/2021 08:49

At 16dpo you would expect a very clear line. Any urine test should show up. I don’t really know anything about blood tests. I can’t see anything here though so sorry OP it looks like this isn’t your month x

Hopefulhedgehog · 18/09/2021 08:56

@Xojademarshxo

I’m 16dpo and I will retest in a few days but I can see something faint am I wrong?
Your other thread said that you were 12dpo on 31 august?
Hopefulhedgehog · 18/09/2021 08:59

Sorry pressed send too soon. How are you confirming ovulation? And how regular are your cycles normally to accurately predict when AF should arrive?

fairgame84 · 18/09/2021 09:46

If your 3 days late there should be a strong clear line and there isn't. Try again in a few days.
Have you seen a doctor about your long cycles?

Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 11:37

I know when I ovulated as I took a ovulation test and both lines were very strong

OP posts:
Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 11:39

Yes I’m 17dpo now I’m confirming ovulation by doing a ovulation test I did 2 on my ovulation day and both lines were strong and my cycle is every 46 days

OP posts:
Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 11:39

Thank you and no I haven’t about my cycles I just needed to know if there was a line there

xoJellybean · 18/09/2021 11:41

You post threads like this every month... why don't you contact your doctor and talk over these things that you stress about each cycle.

Hopefulhedgehog · 18/09/2021 11:49

@Xojademarshxo

Thank you and no I haven’t about my cycles I just needed to know if there was a line there
Ok I think sadly the answer is that you are not pregnant. At 16/17dpo there would be no squinting required. As your cycles are very long it would be worth speaking to a doctor.
VenusStarr · 18/09/2021 12:03

@Xojademarshxo

I know when I ovulated as I took a ovulation test and both lines were very strong
You generally ovulate between 12-36 hours after a positive ovulation test so you might not have ovulated that day. But with longer / irregular cycles opks aren't reliable. If you measure your bbt that is more accurate but usually a blood test is the only way to definitively determine ovulation.

I don't think you did ovulate when you think, otherwise your tests would be very positive by now.

CurlyWurly321 · 18/09/2021 12:20

Why use blood?

Why not just wee on something?

Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 12:50

Okay I’ll get in touch with the doctor I did do bbt as well so I know I ovulated on that day and wee one was negative but for the past few months I have been getting faint positive and negatives my last faint positive the line was stronger but still faint I got that faint test a month ago day after it was negative it has been happening to me for ages

Hopefulhedgehog · 18/09/2021 12:59

When I see people taking these blood tests after seemingly disbelieving negative urine tests it screams anxiety. OP how long have you been TTC? It may be a good idea to speak to GP about your cycles but also to GP or elsewhere about stress/anxiety which TTC seems to be causing. Stepping away from the excessive testing might be a good start as we all see on here it leads to so much heartache. Is your partner on board and involved with all the testing etc?

VenusStarr · 18/09/2021 13:51

Do you want to share a picture of your bbt chart @Xojademarshxo?

You said last month you got a faint positive, was it on a urine test?

Xojademarshxo · 18/09/2021 15:35

Yes I did I’ll show you the faint positives and I haven’t got a chart just been writing it down in a diary they are all faint positives different test about a few weeks to a few months ago

If you enter your bbt into fertility friend, I find this is the most readable bbt chart and it will confirm ovulation. Do you still have an elevated temperature @Xojademarshxo?

Xojademarshxo · 20/09/2021 01:30

Yes I do

Hey hun I actually tried these blood tests for my result as I'm having the same problem with the urine sticks one day there seems to he a faint but clearly a line with colour then the next looks a vape line but on the blood test the first I thought my mind was playing tricks with weather I got a line tryed a week later and got a fairly good positive but still unsure because of the sticks showed up with nothing on the day we got the positive blood test it's all so confusing best bet to book privately if u can it's around 40 pounds and get your hcg levels tested properly to see if they are rising! Good luck you to let's hope there's little babas in the making :) xx
