Hello,

I am going to start TTC from next year. I am 32 and have 2 children already - aged 3 and 4. I appreciate I’m a bit older now and it might take more time. Trying to get my body healthier for a pregnancy again. Any advice on best prenatal vitamins to take? Any other advice? I am doing more exercise and trying to eat healthier too 🙌🏻 My coil is being removed next month and then will use condoms til January.

Folic acid and vitamin d is all you really need. If you end up taking something like pregnacare conception then I'd still add a separate vitamin D supplement on top.

Just make sure that you don't take generic multi vitamins as they'll contain Vitamin A which can be harmful to the baby.

What about things like coenzyme q10 and DHEA? I have heard these can be helpful as you get older?

I second vitamin D on top of folic acid, me and my partner tried for a few months and got nowhere, even with tracking ovulation. I started taking vitamin D after a blood test showed that it was low and i became pregnant that month, could just be a coincidence but i believe the vitamin D helped in some way.

Hey!!

I take pregnacare conception, omega 3 fish oils and co-enzyme q10 (lower dose as there is already some in the pregnacare). These were recommended to me by my OBGYN and doctor. I am 31 if that helps and I have severe endometriosis with symptoms made worse by a blood disorder, I think the iron in the pregnacare helps me even though it's only a little.

The bare minimum I was told to take was folic acid 400mg which is in pregnacare and vitamin D. Take what's the better fit for you 🧡
