Should I bother testing if I don’t have symptoms next time?

Hi guys. I recently had a miscarriage and started having symptoms early on (around 4.5 weeks I believe) such worse skin, larger achy breasts and tiredness. If I don’t have any of those this month, should I bother testing or just wait for AF? It’s just that because I had a loss at 5.5 weeks, my period may be delayed, although I have a feeling I ovulated a day or two ago. If I treat the start of bleeding as day 1, I’m around day 26 of my cycle. My periods occur roughly monthly (if I had to estimate, my cycles fluctuate between 30-33 days). Should I test? If so, when? If I don’t have a period by next month? But surely by then if I have conceived, then I’d have symptoms? Agh.

As your cycle could be wonky now after the CP I'd test in two weeks and then again maybe once or twice a week after that? I wouldn't wait for symptoms as every pregnancy could be different and you might have a completely different set or none at all next time xx

Thank you. I am planning on testing in 2 weeks if AF doesn’t show up. If I did ovulate yesterday or the day before like I suspect, then that’s a good time to test I think. Seeing as it’s the first cycle after a loss, I’m not expecting anything realistically, but of course there is a chance. I keep telling myself that I don’t have An issue actually getting pregnant, so even if I’m out this month, there’s a decent chance it’ll happen within the next few months after that. (Fingers crossed!)

Hey @Nicolelinda96, really sorry to read about this. I hope you are ok Flowers

The same happened to me. CP at 4+2 weeks, period the next cycle and I'm now 4+1 weeks pregnant so it has happened fast! Hoping we have a sticky baby, however, I do feel different this time and the tests are really strong/gone up a step on a digital.

Take care and be kind to yourself x

I’ve read something about the lining of the womb needing time to thicken? Does this mean that a conception soon after an mc is more likely to not stick?

@Nicolelinda96 the lining restarts to thicken with every new cycle so after your CP bleed it should have restarted and not affect your ability to have a sticky bean

Thanks! I didn’t think there would be any issue regarding that tbh. I’m going to test with a Frer pink dye, they are very sensitive so idk how early they’d be able to detect a pregnancy? It’s difficult because I can only speculate when I may have ovulated.

Sorry for your loss Thanks

In my first pregnancy I had symptoms from 9dpo and I had a mmc with that baby. In my second pregnancy, I had no symptoms until 6 weeks. She's now nearly 1.

Random, but could taking BC pills out of order affect anything? I know these are probably just intrusive thoughts, but could I have done some damage?? Sad
