AF arrived again to destroy my life

So it's now the 9month in a row of failed trying to Conceive. My period has just show up again and even though I knew it was coming I'm devastated again. Had a big cry this morning really wished this would happen for us.

Anyone else has AF show up and destroy their hopes this month.

I'm sorry AF arrived :( I totally get it. I flit between months where I'm disappointed but ok and then months where I'm absolutely in bits; crying and no energy that day at all until I give myself the talk and start again! AF is due Thursday for me and I know this one isn't the month so it'll be onto cycle 15. I lost my son halfway through pregnancy last year and I've been desperate ever since. It definitely feels like Groundhog Day when AF arrives!

It's shit and it's all-consuming at times, so I understand how you feel and I'm sorry you're having a hard day. What wee treats cheer you up? Wine, gin, takeaway, whatever makes you feel better then do that! Just think - you're one month closer to the month it WILL work 💕

I've been the same most months I can normally get by this momth has really hit me hard. I think the longer trying the harder it's getting. Feel very deflated today

Hey, I'm totally with you. I just went through my 9th cycle trying and now into my 10th. Something worse about being in double figures of months trying. I saw a private fertility consultant yesterday and he just told us to keep trying and that it'll happen. He also recommend a HyCoSy which I may try next month. I get it though, weirdly the more negatives I get the more numb to it I become. Just get through these next couple days, they are always the worst. Keep yourself busy with plans xxx

So sorry to hear this @alexag1. Just thought I’d come on and say I know the feeling and I absolutes hated it. It’s so all consuming and for me at least, so lonely. Nobody else understands, not even your partner, that monthly devastation. But I was destroyed every single month for almost a year, and then one month, I wasn’t. And she’s asleep next to me now. I hesitated sharing this as not sure if this helps or makes you feel worse, but id say TTC was probably the toughest year of my life, but try to stay positive. Talk to people, use mumsnet if you’re too private to discuss with friends, and make sure your partner knows how you feel. Be kind to your body and yourself and I will keep everything crossed for a more positive month soon xxx

Same here 🙋🏻‍♀️ AF arrived this morning to bring cycle 9 crashing to an end. Feeling v deflated. Feels like a long road ahead.

Hey ladies sorry to hear your all like me and disappointed again this month. Feeling a bit better today after a very sad day. I think I'm going to try not put so much stress onto myself this month it's been hard.

@Penny2020 thank you your story is lovely so happy you have your little one. I've had other friends that have done the same years of trying and it happens eventually but it's the waiting until it does. I've joined a small Facebook group for support

(If anyone wants me to Share with them I can it's private so no one can see your in it and only a few members to chat too but it's been nice)

It's hard when others don't know because they don't understand what your going through each time you get to this stage of the month.
