BFN 4days late, anyone had a late BFP?

Hi all.
Long TTC journey.
After a break my DH and I are trying again.
I'm now 4 days late for AF.
I've had some light pink and brown discharge (tiny amount of red) no clots and it lasted just over 2 days which I believed was implantation (finished yesterday)
I've taken 2 first response tests both BFN.

Given that I'm now 4 days late, and had a BFN is there any chance I could still be pregnant but don't have enough HGC yet?

Anyone had any experiences of this?
It's worrying as first response says 99% accurate. So what's the chances I'm in the 1% !?

Yes this sounds very similar to my experience! I had light pink spotting exactly a week ago, it turned brown the next day and the day after that there was nothing. I have tested today with a first response test and got a BFP! Yesterday I did a test and it was negative! So I would say don’t lose hope just yet as it sounds promising for you too x

@ShellUK09 firstly CONGRATULATIONS! So happy on your behalf, I get so excited for others BFP results haha!
Secondly, thank you! You've given me a glimmer of hope when I'm sat in bed feeling so depressed!
I honestly thought since FRER is so sensitive I must be negative!
Can I ask how many DPO or how late AF was before you got your BFP?
And your BFN was that with a FR test?

@MontyFALD thank you! I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself yet as it is still early days but been on cloud 9 so far today. Aww that’s good to hear I am 16DPO and my as for the periods I’m really not certain as my cycles weren’t set like clockwork since going off the mini pill a few months ago, but my app reckoned I should have had my period on 31st August so I’ve been wondering ever since! Today is officially day 29 of my cycle. No my BFN was with a Superdrug own brand test, I thought it would be similar to a first response as it said early detection, but the first response today was very clear so I would really recommend using only them in early stages. Don’t feel disheartened as it is still early for you x

@MontyFALD do you track your ovulation? Do you know how many dpo you are? Implantation around AF due date sounds a bit late, but maybe you ovulated later than you thought?
