I've left it too late this month, haven't I?

Haven't been able to DTD this month at all due to DH working away. I had a positive opk yesterday late afternoon (pic attached) but we will only be able to DTD for the first time tonight. I'm guessing my chances are pretty slim this month? Sad

Once your egg releases you have 24hours although it will start deteriorating after 12 hours, you are still in with a chance as a positive opk does not mean you are ovulating now, once you have a positive opk all that means is you are likely about to ovulate within the next 24-48 hours with the average being 36 hours, so no you have not missed your chance. For me I'll get a positive in the afternoon but don't actually ovulate until late at night the next day so 36 hours later. Good luck

Thank you, that gave me some hope. I've started having a niggly pain by my right ovary so sadly think that I'm out for this month but will give it a go just to be sure.
