Hi folks, I would love your opinion on my FRER pregnancy test I took this morning ... would you say these were 'indents' 'false positives'?

@Clarkey86

If I’m being totally honest with you I don’t think they’re indents - I think you might have had a faint positive and maybe a chemical pregnancy.

I’ve done a LOT of FRERs and never had a false positive or indent so I’d be surprised at 2.

I’m sorry - crossing my fingers for you next time!

I've had indents but they haven't been as bright as the recent picture and I've been pregnant 5 times - I agree it could have been a chemical which is both sad and yet hopeful in a way

So sorry OP :( I agree that the line looked too strong to just be an indent

Indianna2006 · 10/09/2021 20:19

@ChattyMum86 ah that’s crap. Sorry hun. Just keep going.
I’m now onto cycle 5. But trying to keep positive and keep fingers crossed.

Where does everyone purchase there frers from?

Only ask because I have had a few faint lines on frer before but just presumed it was an evap as my period came anyway like next day or so. But I order mine from Amazon and I saw someone mention about the Amazon ones seemed to do this. Like maybe because of how there stored in the warehouses etc?

Cos when I was ttc with my dd 4 years ago I always used frer and never ever got evaps. They were always very blank like a previous poster said. I’ve had two frer evaps so far in these 5 months.

Thinking I might try purchase them from elsewhere..but don’t think I’ve ever seen them in Tesco or Asda?

BastardMonkfish · 10/09/2021 22:20

@Indianna2006 you get them in Boots although Boots own brand sensitive tests are pretty much identical.

ChattyMum86 · 11/09/2021 01:37

I've had a mixture from Amazon and pharmacies but most recently Boots 👎🏼

FRER have been driving me up the wall, I've had about 6 faint positives within 2/3 minutes of the test being done, all bought from different chemists. Then I took a clearblue - BFP! Or so I thought (started to appear before the control line so not an evap).

I ended up in EPU as I've got a history of recurrent miscarriage and have to go as soon as I get a positive. Took my clearblue test with me, yep definitely positive.

Did an internal scan, nothing other than a thick lining, confirmed they could see I'd ovulated as the corpus luteum was seen. They were concerned I was having a rare "ovarian ectopic" as there was a cyst in my ovary with another bubble shaped thing inside. Had bloods taken, apparently my HCG was less than 2 so not pregnant.

I'm now on CD36 of a normal for me 23 day cycle (endometriosis makes me have shorter cycles than the average). No sign of AF, no usual symptoms I get when I'm due on like being a bit moody, in fact I feel great except from my aching boobs which I've had only in pregnancy before.

No idea what is going on! Wishing you luck you get a BFP xx

@ericaandfamily so sorry to hear you've ended up in EPU. I'm definitely going to have to chat with a doctor as this isn't the first time I think I've had a chemical pregnancy 😞
Everything crossed that you'll get your BFP 🤞🏼❤️
