I'm 5dpo. And all I seem to think about is 'what if I am?' And I find myself wishing away the days so I can find out. It's so silly wishing away weeks like this!

@RAP08 I'm 5ZDPO too. It's all I can think about and keep checking my two fertility apps like I think they will say something different each time I log back in. This is my first cycle of TTC. I keep thinking am I? Do I have symptoms? Yesterday I threw up for example. Logic tells me you can't have morning sickness at 4DPO! But I'm also really exhausted too (but probably from work etc). I don't know how long timers do this every month. Fingers crossed for us x

BethTTC · 31/08/2021 01:23

6DPO and aaall of this! I'm going crazy waiting until 10DPO!

bekloi · 31/08/2021 08:25

Hey ladies I'm 4dpo , had my implant out in July periods come back normal (last month) I'm hoping this month is my month as I lost my 3rd last year at 15 weeks 😒😒

RAP08 · 31/08/2021 08:43

@SherbertLemons Yes this my first month ttc! No idea how people manage this for years on end. Maybe I just need to calm down a bit! Took a test yesterday when I was 5dpo in the evening. Obviously it was negative! (What did I expect?!). Going away for a wedding and a fishing holiday next week so will hopefully forget all about it!x

I'm exactly the same! I'm also 5dpo and have been doing this every month for a year now! I still do the same thing every month. I've had every "symptom" going and still haven't had a BFP. I have promised to not test until at least 12dpo this month but we will see if I stick to it. It really does become an obsession when you just want it so bad! @SherbertLemons I also keep checking my apps thinking that might say something insightful 🤣 literally the only thing we can do is wait but it is so HARD!!!🤣🤣

bekloi · 31/08/2021 09:43

It's so hard not to test but then when u get a negative it's also hard cus it's not what you wanted to see 🤦‍♀️🤣 I'm feeling cramps in my back and now lower belly but that could just be telling me I'm due on in 12 days so I'm going to wait until day before I'm due on a test , also getting clear sticky discharge everytime I wipe without fail sorry for to much info btw x good luck ladies x

RAP08 · 31/08/2021 09:51

@bekloi I think we are very used to 'too much information'! and it's insightful to hear of everyone's journey/symptoms etc! 8 days to go until AF so still a while yet! @SherbertLemons maybe if the apps even had inspirational quotes or jokes on the tww days! Hahah

@bekloi it really is isn't it! ESP when you can buy like 30 tests for £10! The thing about testing early is that even when it's negative you still convince yourself you could be pg and it's just too early so it actually doesn't help at all!🤣
I'm 5dpo today and feel like my boobs/nipples are a bit sensitive. I never normally get this even before AF so that is a new symptom I haven't had before. But will just add it to the list! Realistically, when are you going to test? X

bekloi · 31/08/2021 09:57

I went out my mind last month wasting money on tests thinking I was pregnant cus had sex straight after implant had been removed 🤣🤣 shop by me does 3 clear response test strips for only £1.50 so I'll only buy them until I get a strong positive lol & I'm going to test few days before my period is due I think all tho I probably won't wait that long 🤣🤣 when you going to test? Xx

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 10:03

@bekloi omg me too. I'm ashamed to admit it but I think I used a whole box of IC! Such an idiot!!! I think I had just convinced myself that it had happened. I will NOT do that this month! I'm going to test on monday which would be 11dpo but I will prob test on Sunday 🤣🤣

bekloi · 31/08/2021 10:06

Have you been getting any symptoms? They say once ovulation has ended the cm is suppose to dry up but mine is still going when I wipe so it's just really confusing I suppose

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 10:13

I honestly don't know what symptoms are symptoms any more as I have literally had them all! I log CM all the time but in the TWW I've had everything! EWCM, creamy, none, more, less etc etc so I don't really read in to that any more! But yesterday I had some EWCM but this can be from the second oestrogen surge which is normal whether your pg or not. Realistically, until implantation which happens usually around 8-9dpo but can be later, you won't have any symptoms as until implantation your hormones are doing the same thing whether your pg or not. I tend to look for more symptoms after 6 DPO as then I can convince myself they might be real 🤣🤣

bekloi · 31/08/2021 10:24

Ye same here! But I always get bad period cramps anyways so it's nuffin new to me all though I don't actually remember how soon I had cramps from having periods over a year ago before I had implant put it. I'm just glad my periods returned to normal after removal so I can start tracking again 🤪 x

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 10:29

@bekloi yeah I had the coil in for three years so I honestly can't remember that much of what "normal" was like! Although I now get some spotting for like an hour 3-4 days before AF which I defo didn't have before. And each month I convince myself it's implantation - it never is 🤣

bekloi · 31/08/2021 10:31

I'm pretty sure I got cramps day before I come on cus I was always in bad agony! All tho the af I had this month I spotted the day before then had the period the day after so they've deffo changed since having implant x

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 10:43

@bekloi yeah I also think my age plays a part. I'm 34 now and as you get older, your cycles do change so it could be anything! Do you have any children already?

bekloi · 31/08/2021 10:45

Yes I got a 8 year old and a 4 year old last year I lost my baby at 15 weeks I'm also 26 x

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 10:49

@bekloi I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, can't imagine how painful that must have been for you. Fingers crossed you won't be trying for too long x

bekloi · 31/08/2021 10:52

Was very painful 😓 not somethink I'd like to go thru again but things happen for a reason! That time I was going thru domestic abuse with my ex partner x

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 11:01

@bekloi I'm so sorry- glad your safe and away from the ex-partner now, that takes a lot of strength to do.

bekloi · 31/08/2021 11:05

It definitely does took me 4 years to do it but I'm happy I walked away I wouldn't be where I am today if i didn't walk xx

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 11:06

@bekloi that's amazing, I'm so glad you were able to do that. Do you have a new partner now? X

bekloi · 31/08/2021 11:07

Yes I have a new partner now took me long enough to move forward but it was best choice I made by far lol x x

hoola23 · 31/08/2021 11:09

So pleased! All you need now is that BFP!!!

SherbertLemons · 02/09/2021 11:29

@bekloi similar situation here. Divorced my abusive ex "D"H a few years ago now and have been lucky enough to find love again with a wonderfully kind man. It's still a healing process but life is so much better.

So everyone.....how many DPOs is long enough to wait to do first response test to see if there is a faint line? I've been good and resisted the temptation so far.
