Spotting when I should have period (15dpo), BFN on FRER and near positive OPK again

Hi all
Hoping someone can help me please!
My periods changed when I came off the pill and seemed to follow the pattern of couple of days barely there spotting, 2 days full flow, couple of days of spotting at end. I went for a scan back in February after telling the doctor how concerned I was and I think this was checking my lining. Everything came back normal I was told and also they said my scan indicated I had ovulated the week before which tallied with when I got my positive OPK. I also tend to be quite uncomfortable down there during periods and has been suggested it is just a touch of eczema, feels like thrush but isn’t as I test negative and have had lots of other swabs with no infections found. My cycles tended to be between 28-34 days with the exception of one which was longer. I then had the Pfizer jab in June and my period started as normal the day after. But then I had another period just 23 days later. And it lasted 10 days including mainly spotting. In July I bled after sex very slightly (just pink spotting) and the GP said that it was from a very minor vaginal tear. My July period was also 10 days long and mainly spotting, it was stop start and after 5 days spotting came full flow and heavy. This month I am on day 35 and have had spotting only since Wednesday night. It started brown, then was slight pink tinge to regular discharge and this morning I got a very small amount of red which has seemingly stopped. I’ve felt nauseous this month, had sore boobs, been so irritable, spots, you name it. All HPTs are negative, including FRER and I’m 15 dpo I think now. To make things extra strange I got a very near peak reading on OPK last night. I think I ovulated 15 days ago because I got what I think was a peak reading then. Now I’m getting terrified because I’ve been trying to look online as to why might get another LH surge before/during period and it suggested it could be down to PCOS or perimenopause. I am only 34 and desperate for more children. Has anybody else had periods like mine? Did you find out why? Is it normal for LH to surge so much at this point in a cycle? I am so worried 😟 thank you for reading!

When did you go off the pill?

Over a year ago. My period seems to have started properly today but the spotting I had was for 5 days before

Some women get a LH surge before AF arrives, also some women find out they're pregnant because of a positive opk later in the cycle.
As to your periods, mine are a bit like yours. More like spotting, I sometimes barely need a pad for days. My AF was around 10 days as well when I came off the pill, I think it lasted 2 years or so but got shorter after a while.
Please don't get me wrong and maybe I interpret too much in your posts but I feel like you might be a bit overwhelmed in the moment and are a bit anxious? I can totally understand it, it's a lot. Xx

Thank you! Yes completely overwhelmed because I panicked it might mean something really bad like PCOS or perimenopause. I also had so many symptoms this month that I dared to think I might be pregnant so it was a huge disappointment to me that I wasn’t.

It's hard to not obsess, I know. I found BBT and opk to be stressful actually. It made it very hard to not have TTC on top of mind all the time. I only used opk this cycle again because I had a MC before and wasn't sure if my ovulation would be around the same time again or be delayed. Maybe it will help you to have a cycle or two without opk?
