Hello Everyone, I’m new to this.
I had my nexplanon implant out on 19/07/2021 as me and my partner are going to start trying for a baby. Then I had two days on 25th and 26th July with a light bleed and a little bit of cramping which I believe would’ve been a withdrawal bleed. Now here we are on 25/08/2021 and still no period☹️ Has anyone else had to wait this long for a period after the implant removal? I’ve been doing the ovulation strips and a few pregnancy tests and always had BFN. I have also started taking pregnacare before conception just to ensure that my body is ready for the change. Just getting very impatient as we really want to start tracking ovulation properly and getting excited about it all but just can’t stop thinking about when my period is going to return😩

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much in advance!!

Hi @EliseJxoxo - I didn't have Nexlanon, but I've read a few stories about women who had it removed. It took some of them a while before they had a regular cylce again. And a friend of mine had 6 months no period after removal, but I think her story is a bit extreme.
That being said, I read several posts about pregnacare and how they mess up your cycle. Maybe you can find them by using the search function in the thread overview? Many said that taking pregnacare delayed their cycles.

Found a recent thread about pregnacare, see: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4322030-Day-29-positive-opk

Thank you so much for your comment. I really wasn't aware of this. I think I may take some time off them and see if this helps. I've read the thread and it seems a lot of people have noticed that it affects their cycle, so there's a good chance it's affected me also! Thank you once again for the information! Have a lovely day Xx
