Third baby - any experience of how long it takes to conceive

Hi!
My first two babies were v easy to conceive. We do want a third, but I’m wondering if it may take a little longer because I will be 2 - 3 years older. Any experience of this? Basically trying to decide if we should begin trying soon in case it takes a while, or if it is likely to be quick as the other two were!!!

Any input/advice welcome

It obviously completely depends on your body! Nobody can answer this question for you

Thanks!
I guess what I mean is has age made a big difference to other people’s experiences…

It's made a difference for me. First child conceived first month trying at 27, 2nd child took 5 months at 32. Ttc our third, I'm now 37. It's been 9 months and I've had 3 chemicals... fingers crossed it happens for us soon

Time to conceive in any pregnancy is not influenced by any other amount of time it took you to fall pregnant previously. Could be one month, could be 12.

5 months to conceive first.
2 months to conceive second.
2 months to conceive third.
First attempt to conceive fourth.

DS1 4 cycles, age 29.
DS2 (lost at 21+4) 8 cycles (age 34)
1 chemical (age 34)
1 MMC (age 34).

Thank you for sharing, really appreciate it. Fingers crossed for all hoping for babies soon.

I think I am gong to chat to my husband about thinking about it sooner rather than later. I’m 34 and he’s 35

@dietcokeandchill I conceived dc1 and dc2 first go (age 29 and 31). It took slightly longer to conceive number 3 at age 36. 2 cycles of let's see what happens followed by 3 cycles of meticulous ttc with opk and a lot of sex. Now ttc number 4 and expecting it to take even longer.

27 - 1 month
30 - 1 month
32 - 1 month

MuMmaOf3littles · 20/08/2021 16:11

1st baby - 12 months - age 24
2nd baby - 7 months - age 26
3rd baby - first try - age 28

Same for me as the other two, one or two months of not trying very hard at all! This time around I was 36 and had a weird 22 day cycle the first month we were kind of trying, but we got our bfp the next month. Despite a 4 year gap. I did try to eat extra healthily but we weren’t doing anything special otherwise. Honestly I think it’s often down to luck.

I was worried when deciding to conceive third that it would take longer as quite a big gap and au didn’t want it to be any bigger. Conceived first at 27, 2nd first month trying at 29… but although I was 34 with third, also conceived first month trying. So she made no difference for me.
