Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test - high fertility for 1 day only

Hi all!

I’m new to this, bit nervous!

I’m 35 and trying to conceive. I have a fairly regular cycle of 30 days and have been using the the Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test Kit with Dual Hormone Indicator for 2 months to see when I’m fertile. However this has come up saying that I have “high”’fertility for just 1 day before my “peak” fertility. Has anyone had this short of a window??

The Flo app suggests I have sex in 4-5 days before my predicted ovulation date. Is there any point in this if the tests are not showing high fertility?

Feeling worried as my window seems so small and because of my age. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Smile

Hi 👋🏻

I used the clearblue advanced digital opks last month and went straight from low fertility to peak (no high days!) and conceived. I think as long as you're checking your other signs (cm, bbt etc) and know round about when your fertile window is, keep I'm dtd every other day then as soon as you get high do it every day if you can! Hopefully you'll hit your fertile days then.
I think it's normal to have some cycles with few high days (my pregnancy prior to this one - mmc, I had 7 high days before getting peak so it can vary!)
Good
Luck

Thank you so so much Emily, I’m so grateful for that reply! I have just been using those tests and Flo but will start taking my temperature too, thank you! So you definitely suggest DTD every other day and not every day in the run up? Keep reading different things. Thanks again xxx

I read the 'Sperm meets egg plan' book which suggests doing it every other day from CD8 I think and then every day once you're close to ovulation. That can be quite intense though if you have long cycles like I do so we started later! Think the book is free on kindle if you have one, it's short to read and has some interesting info on when's the best timing etc
Also I would highly recommended the fertility friend app if you're tracking bbt as it tends to be the best for charting. You can get it for free or upgrade to a premium version but the free one does everything you need it to!xx
