What does it mean if it takes more than a week to go from a vvvvvvfaint line to vvvvfaint?

After a TFMR in February my cycle has been a few days shorter and more irregular, I have been using OPKs and temping every month and then testing really early, from 7dpo!
In my obsession this month I have done what most will tell me is invalid, I found at 7dpo with a torch after the test dried a super faint second pink line. I got my hopes up it was the start of something as I’d never seen that before, but after a week I was still getting the same so thought it must be a chemical. Today at 16dpo, I’m 4 days late and think there is a faint line that has appeared during the 5 min window.

Do you think if it has taken this long to “darken up” there could be an issue? Anybody else had similar?
I have been using ICs, will test again tomorrow and if I see something will use my last frer.

Trying to stay hopeful, this cycle has been a bit of a rollercoaster!

When I had this I'm afraid I miscarried- line just never got stronger. I carried to term my next pregnancy.

At 16dpo I would have thought there would be a nice clear dark line showing, this doesnt mean you are out but again sadly this may not be the one.

I once did a test and one week and only got one line. A week later I was emptying the bin and the test fell out and there was the faintest of lines. I did another test and the line was stronger. I was pregnant, I just think it was early on hence the faint line. I miscarried but many many weeks later, the test can't predict that. Hope you get the results you want. Good luck.

@Chimentolo that’s exactly what I thought just wasn’t getting any stronger so wondering how long I would have to wait for my next cycle to begin and then this morning thought this but thought it still may not be a good sign. Like a said a rollercoaster of emotions! Sorry for your loss, glad it worked out the next time.

@stairgates thanks, I thought so too, I think if it’s getting darker quickly now then maybe there is a chance but if it continues to not change much then I think I know the eventual outcome, just hate the not knowing either way.

@Jurassicparkinajug sorry to hear about your loss, that’s similar to what happened to me last time but this time I haven’t been able to think about anything else so check those tests over and over!

There was a marked difference with the pregnancy I carried to term - line was pretty strong 3 days before my period was due and just got stronger and stronger.

I know I shouldn't have tested so much but you just do, don't you!!

An update for anyone looking as I know I always want to see the end of the story.

Unfortunately it didn’t end well. The line slowly got stronger from about 19dpo until all looked good so there is still hope for anyone in that situation.
But then I miscarried at 7 weeks.
Absolutely gutted but glad I have an answer at last, it has been so up and down emotionally!
