Did anybody get pregnant (or have a positive OPK) first fertile window post-Pfizer?

Had first Pfizer CD2. Am now CD12, scheduled to ovulate on CD15. I’m reading about the vaccine buggering up women’s periods temporarily and I’m worried I won’t ovulate this month because of it. I suppose I just want to know whether it’s worth getting excited during this 2WW or whether it’ll be a non-OV cycle and I don’t have a cat in hells chance. I just want to know for my mental sanity whether I should sack this cycle off haha

I will add I am 39 but have a 9 month old so I’m not too worried about my fertility in general just about whether the vaccine has made this cycle a no go.

I’m wondering the same thing as also don’t use ovulation tests because I feel like if ovulation was ever late I’d be in absolute panic with each negative ovulation test.

I’ve heard of people getting pregnant immediately after the vaccine and others still not having periods months later. Annoying how it’s completely random

Me too! CD7, had Pfizer last week on CD 1 (intentionally chose that day). We’ll see I guess!

Berkeys · 10/08/2021 01:01

I will be temping and doing OPKs so will confirm next weeek

TheChristmasOnChristmas · 10/08/2021 01:08

@Berkeys

Not OP but I also deliberately chose to have it at the start of my cycle so I’m glad somebody else had the same thought.

My reasoning was that it would give my body plenty of time to have the initial immune response out of the way before ovulation. Whereas if somebody were to have it just before ovulation/AF then the immune response may cause the body to put an emergency stop to it to focus on fighting the ‘illness’ it thinks it has.

I had my Pfizer 1st jab on about cd26, period came on schedule and then I ovulated normally afterwards. :)

Imisscoffee2021 · 10/08/2021 11:15

I had the pfizer twice so now fully jabbed, the first month after I came on af three days earlier but had ovayed as normal via my app. This time I had a strange opk clearblue thing where I usually get flashing smily a day before steady, this time it was low fertility for 5 days including the morning one cd15, then in afternoon suddenly a steady smily. So think there was a bit of an impact but still (hopefully) pvuksted, had the surge anyway

I had my 2nd pfizer on Friday 30th July and had my peak a few days later, I am now 9dpo x

Hey. First Pfizer vaccine had absolutely no effect on AF or ovulation the following cycle. I had it on CD19. Second vaccine was on CD20. AF was a day late but that could be down to anything, not necessarily the vaccine. I'm gearing up for first ovulation since second vaccine but not OPKing this month. But so far neither vaccines have had an effect on my cycles from what I can tell 😊 x

Hi I had my 1st Pfizer on the last day of a cycle and had my period as expected the next day . I then had 2nd Pfizer on ovulation day on the following cycle and I have a faint bfp today . So for me it didn’t effect my cycles at all.

HerbivorousRex · 10/08/2021 20:45

I didn’t get pregnant (I was away during my fertile period) but I ovulated as expected (I was using my clear blue monitor, checking CM and BBT) and my period arrived on the day I expected it to.
Obviously I don’t know if I would have got pregnant but everything seemed totally normal.

CTMcG · 11/08/2021 10:21

and to update my last comment - i got a bfp this morning 10dpo, i had my 2nd pfizer jab on friday 30th july!!

OlivePenderghast · 11/08/2021 11:10

I did and am currently 13 weeks pregnant Wink

pbdr · 11/08/2021 11:17

I had my 2nd Pfizer dose on day 3 of my period. Had a positive OPK that month but didn't get pregnant, but did fall pregnant the following month (and I'm now 28 weeks).

Bells3032 · 11/08/2021 11:23

Yep i did. Completely by accident and despite my husbands extremely low sperm count. We were waiting for my next cycle to do an IVF transfer and bam I am pregnant (initially with twins though sadly we lost one at 8 weeks).

Two other friends of mine (one of which had previously had three miscarriages) also got pregnant within two weeks of having Pfizer

SaraKitty · 11/08/2021 20:33

I’ve had my proper BFP. I conceived the day I had the 2nd jab ! 🙏🏻

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 11/08/2021 20:39

I had my 2nd Pfizer on 26th March, period arrived as normal a week later, then had my BFP a few weeks after that. Currently 19 weeks and free so far fingers crossed!

abi555 · 11/08/2021 20:44

I had my second pfizer end march, and positive pregnancy test mid April. Didn't affect cycle at all x

HPmagic · 11/08/2021 20:46

Hi op I am currently 20 weeks pregnant after conceiving 2 weeks after 2nd Pfizer Jan. I actually wondered if the Jan had helped at all as I wasn't ovulating so well beforehand.
