Anyone else trying to concieve no.3? Anyone else nuts?

Thanks for the welcome Belgo!! LOTF - Yes I will have to make do with 3 even if the next is another boy......BUT I WANT A GIRL Stamps foot on floor

I know it sounds sooo shallow etc and I may get slammed for saying it but:

I want what me and my mum have now I have children.

i want to ttc for third but much later next year. Cant think of anything else! Have two boys and would desperately love agirl. Absolutely true about a son being a son till Takes him a wife!
I too would like what i had with my mother(she died 4 yrs ago) i wouldnt say we were terribly close(we all clashed a lot!) but i have one sister and the 3 of us did loads together. My dp doesnt have the same relationship with his mother. Anyway, ive gone off on tangent! If i have a 3rd boy thats fine too. At least i will have tried and i will still be happy. i want a third no matter what. i dont want to look back and regret not having another.

BJB - definately know what you mean about the mother/daughter thing. me and my mum really clash and i liked to prove to her that i'd be a great mum to a daughter and do things totally differently. i'm only 20, so know i have years left theoretically but would love to have #3 now so that i can start my career and never have to have a career break!

Haribosmum I'm kind of in the same boat as you, i have DD8 and DD6 (7 in jan) and ttc #3 but sometimes think how will i cope if i have another like my second DD, as she suffers from reflux and lactose intolerance and the first year was really hard she was in and out of hosp,(she is back in on fri to get 17 teeth out because of the reflux )But for the last 5yrs i have wanted another and now we have decided to try again so here is hoping for xmas bfp and a blue one!!!

lol... petitfilou. i thought i was young ttc #3 at 29 (30) in feb but seems there are lots of young peeps ttc#3 early, i thought i was bad having 1st dd at 21 .

I can understand why a mother wants a daughter. I have two girls, and dh is very keen on having a son! But of course we will adore and feel blessed if we have a third girl. At the moment I just want to be pregnant!

I wish i had more earlier . I think some people are just meant to be mothers and i'm one of them. My youngest is in P3 and i miss having them at home i went back to work and went to college just finished my second course! and still all i want is to be a new mother again nothing is filling the void for me!!

Belgo ikwym i would like a boy but would equally be happy with a girl! i just want to be pg also.

I am same age as you petitfilou. That's why I think sooner rather than later if I have no3...

Ok Mrs Bond if you are here then I don't feel so old agree with you, sooner rather than later. I am already knackered all the time and want to be able to do some stuff with dh on our own when we're both in our mid 50s!

I AM 37 AND DP IS 41 so i have gotta get my skates on. not quite yet tho, hope to be preg this time next year. due to the gaps of our kids at this rate i will still have little uns when im in my fifties and as for poor old dp, he has a 17 yr old from prev relationship. Should be enjoying himself now, not planning babies!

Belgo how nice to see you here too! ok so news update: i am pregnant not sure how far gone or anything as have literally found out in alst 10mins.......yay! but htf do i tell DH? think i'll wait till i know things for sure. a really good friend of mine is a MW so see her tomorrow...am sooooo excited want a girl so much, if it;s a boy i really qill be devastated, is that really awful?

p.s. i'm only gona bee 21 in 24days and will have 3dc under 3.....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

oh i wish i was abit younger or had started having babies younger! ive prob only got a few fertile yrs left! Would like to maybe wait a few yrs but have no choice!

He he I don't feel like such a slut now IYKWIM. DP is always winding me up because if I get pregnant early next year I will be 25 and had 5 pregnancies (1 termination, 1 miscarriage, 2 beautiful boys and HOPEFULLY a baby girl in my belly.) Yeah he winds me up about it until I remind him that everytime I've been pregnant HE'S been the Father so I call him a male slut LOL!

Why is it 'slutty' to have kids in early twenties?!
I had DS1 at 22 and DS2 at 23. That's how we wanted it, we are married.

I am very happy with my two sons, but to have a girl would be nice too.
I am not close to DHs mum and would always go to my own mum for help/support before her. Would probo approach a stranger before MIl tbh but that's another thread...

I also want to know what's slutty about having children in your early 20's? I had ds1 3 weeks before turning 23. a Miscarriage at 25 and ds2 9 days after turning 26. I too would love the experience of a girl, just to have a mother/daughter relationship as my mother and I are quite distant. However, if I am blessed with another boy, I would be equally pleased, I just want another baby.
