Is a chemical pregnancy normally any worse than a period?

And is it OK to use tampons?

It probably sounds like a stupid question, but I know you’re not supposed to use them for a while after birth and I don’t think you are for bleeding after a miscarriage or termination either.

I had positive pregnancy tests on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but woke up with some light bleeding this morning and got a very clear negative result on a test. The bleeding has now got to normal period flow so I’d like to use tampons if possible. I’m assuming it’s OK as had I not tested early I’d have assumed this was just my period and be using tampons anyway. I’m at work at the moment so I’m hopeful it’s not going to be much worse than a normal period.

I had a CP at the end of last year, and the flow was the same as my normal period, just a few extra cramps. I didn’t use tampons though, just in case. Probably would be alright though, surely lots of women use them if they hadn’t tested therefore didn’t know they’d had a CP? FYI I had a normal cycle the following month and for a BFP, now 33 weeks Smile

Thank you Smile

That was our first month so it did all feel a bit too good to be true!

Same as PP, I probably wouldn't have noticed anything different in the bleed if it hadn't been for the positive test a few days before. I also got pregnant on the next cycle, DD now 10 weeks old! Apparently that's anecdotally quite common.

Forgot to say, I didn't use tampons either, just in case, but probably could have done. There were no clots or anything.
