Implant removal - periods and TTC

I had my implant removed yesterday 05/08. My periods were always very irregular (6-8 weeks) and long lasting (up to 2 weeks) but when I’m not using contraception they’re pretty regular and last around 5 days.

I haven’t had a period since 26/06 and wondering how long does it normally take for your periods to return following implant removal?

We are planning baby number 2. Conceived within a month or so the first time.

I had my implant removed in may and got my first period 25 days later x
But I didn't have any periods or spotting on the implant at all, had 2 back to back so total 6 yrs x

I was on the implant on and off for about 15 years. I had it removed in November and my period came back about a month later, although it only lasted for 2 days or so for about 6 months.

@vivian87 have you had a period yet?
I had my implant removed 2/7 (6 weeks today) still no period, not sure when I should contact drs

Yep - it arrived 3 days later. Was due around the time I had my implant removed so hoping it’s not crazy long. Maybe get in touch with your GP as 6 weeks is quite a long time.

I had mine removed last year and was advised my period should return after 8 weeks if not give them a call. (I had not had a period for 7 years - back to back implant after baby) Got to 8 weeks nothing happened took a test and turns out I was already pregnant, I would rule it out at least as not knowing my dates caused a whole load of mess x

Mine was my 4th back to back, 11.5 years with no period. I’m dreading the first one but also want it to hurry up and arrive so I know my body is doing what it’s meant to! (And we can get on with TTC)
@holfr020 I did a test last Monday which was negative. Think I’ll do another one in the morning then try contacting the drs. If nothing else they might tell me how long I should wait before I should be worrying 🤷‍♀️
