How many times in a row can you actually have a chemical pregnancy?

Hi all

So I've had 2 back to back chemical pregnancy's (last month and the one prior) and now I'm 6dpo and feeling the usual twangs in my left ovary that I had previous months so it 'feels' like the start of implantation to me.

I don't want to be pessimistic this month (ever the optimist!) but surely the odds of getting pregnant even 2 months in a row are incredibly slim?

I'm trying not to symptom spot but I'll definitely be testing around 9-10 dpo to see if I get a positive. And then I'll be hoping this one actually sticks!

Has anyone else managed to get positive PTs multiple months in a row?

The average woman and man with no fertility issues have about a 25-33% chance each month, assuming sex was well timed for ovulation.i imagine 3 back to back conceptions and chemicals is statistically unlikely. 3 chemicals would also meet criteria for further investigations.

That said, you really cant trust twangs. I get some kind of abdomen twang every day! I think when TTC we all become hyper aware of every little thing, and a lot wonr mean anythinf

I have been pregnant 3 times this year already. I had a chemical in feb, followed by a MMC at 8 weeks, then a chemical confirmed on 7th July. I am 12dpo today and got some tests arriving on Friday.

I normally wait til 12-14dpo to test as I’m so worried about another chemical, but my last chemical didn’t start until 19dpo, and I had BFP’s from 11dpo so I feel like I can never just get a positive and relax

What is a chemical pregnancy?

NZmum40 · 03/08/2021 23:33

Fingers crossed for you @MrsS89K
It takes the joy out of the whole process huh

@Calmyertits ...wow, that would have been heartbreaking for you at the time. I'm glad you got your rainbow baby in the end.

I'll start testing in the next few days and see if I end up with my 3 positive month in a row...but hopefully it has a happy outcome!

@NoNotYou

What is a chemical pregnancy?
Essentially a very early miscarriage or failure of implantation @NoNotYou

The hospital told me chemical miscarriages were really common and if we didn't have such sensitive pregnancy tests most woman wouldn't even know it was a chemical pregnancy and just assume it was a late period. I know its hard OP but I'd try not to test in the early days

I had 2 chemical pregnancys and several miscarriages before I fell pregnant with my DD
