*update on 5 days of low ovulation on clear blue ovulation tests

Advised to test twice a day, which I've just done and this morning I had a low ovulation and just done a ovulation test which is now high, how has that worked? I'm now wondering if I've been missing on potential days.

I know you have started testing on the right day as per the leaflet but you might be ovulating early this cycle and the clear blue has been started too late to pick up.

But also LH only rises in the afternoon, and that's one of the hormones the CB test rely on, so if you are catching the start of your LH rising then the CB will probably show high tomorrow?

Tbh this is why I do SMEP because OPKs are quite hard to read.

@darcey87 cycles seem to have varied by a few days, definitely need to start testing earlier than I have. Hadn't realised that LH only rises in the afternoon, I've been testing first thing in the morning, will definitely be testing in the afternoon for sure, this certainly can be confusing.

You need to do the CB tests in the morning, they test more than LH, but they might not pick up the start of your LH surge as that will likely start in the afternoon/evening so the CB will only pick it up next morning.

Using cheapies in the afternoon as well will probably pinpoint it more, but you don't really need to pinpoint it more unless you have fertility issues, so it's more reassurance.

If you are able to have sex every other day from the end of your period until a couple of days after you ovulate you should be fine

@darcey87 will do the tests of a morning too and I make sure it's after the longest sleep. Haven't got any cheapies, we did recently undergo ivf this year which unfortunately did not work, I know that I have a low amh and apparently 3‰ of conceiving naturally. Ideally I'd have liked to have started soon after period finished, but we've had a bug going round us all.

Well that's ok @Lauraliverpool re: not trying because you're feeling poorly! That can also delay ovulation as it's a stress on the body.

Have you read 'it starts with the egg'? I don't know much about low AMH but it can help with egg quality if you want to go down the serious focus and effort route.

Lauraliverpool · 26/07/2021 14:22

@darcey87 it hadn't crossed my mind about ovulation being delayed by feeling off.
I've heard of it starts with the egg and I know a few people have mentioned it, might have a look into that more. Thank you 🙂

Hi ladies, It starts with an egg, really helped me! It was so well written and it explained everything, would def recommend it.

Lauraliverpool · 02/08/2021 10:01

@IsabelHerna, I've bought one of those books from Ebay, have had 3 miscarriages (have a little boy) and have had failed IVF recently, have been given like a 3% chance of conceiving naturally. X
