Faint line then BFN then faint line again?

Hi everyone, any stories or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Took two FRERs on Friday, one with FMU & one in the afternoon. Both came back with faint lines, the afternoon one slightly darker. Then took another FRER yesterday and it came back with a BFN, I've attached it anyway in case.

Woke up this morning did a IC and came back with a faint line again?! What is going on? Can everyone see the lines? Also just want to say they do look pinkier in person.

AF due on Thursday, I'm on CD25 not sure about the ovulation day, any advice?💗

This happened to me! I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant.

I think loads of things can affect it and you’re still early.

@Firstbornunicorn Thank you that's made me feel a bit better, did you class the faint lines as your BFP or did you keep testing after the BFNs to get your BFP? Xx

How bizarre! Are the FRER's from a different box? Maybe the first two are more sensitive?

@fireflies9 to be fair, I was testing super early, so I wasn’t surprised and remained hopeful. I did about a zillion tests, and by the time I was due on, was getting good positives. I kept going until I got a dye stealer! 😆

@DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou Yes they are so that could be why although that's quite bad from FR if the sensitivity varies! It's probably good if I'm waiting until Thursday to take my other one then if it's less sensitive.

@Firstbornunicorn That's amazing congratulations! Fingers crossed my test on Thursday shows up as positive! I'll be doing the ICs tomorrow & Wednesday also to see if they're getting darker 😊

Pregnancy tests measure the concentration of HCG in your urine and there are a number of things that can affect the concentration. Even using FMU.

@InTheNightWeWillWish Thank you. Do you think the faint lines are positives then but it's just too early so the tests are varying?

I'm just confused that the test on Sunday (48hrs after a faint positive) was completely negative, not even a faint line.

I can see a line in all the tests that you can see a line in. They look like they have colour too. I’d also say it’s encouraging that you got a line on two brands, if the first two FRERs were a faint line and everything else was negative, I’d say it’s possibly a dodgy set of FRERs. Unfortunately, I think it’s just too early to tell for definite though. If you can hold off, I’d possibly take a test Wednesday morning. If you’re due AF on Thursday both a FRER and IC should pick up a positive then.

@InTheNightWeWillWish I was thinking the same about the line showing on two different brands. Yes I'm going to do ICs tomorrow & weds and then saving my FRER for Thursday when AF is due, fingers crossed I get my BFP!🤞
