Hi All,

First cycle TTC with PCOS and Endo and I’ve deffo just got a BFP, will be doing another test just to confirm as can’t quite believe it. But I’ve still got dull cramps like AF is coming and super worried. Also I was pretty sure this wasn’t going to happen this month so been pushing myself pretty hard in the gym and probs not eating enough as off of holiday next week also had quite a big night out last week!

Please can anyone tell me if they had dull aching cramps and everything was fine? Or if this is normal?

Thank you xx

Yep I had cramps for the first few weeks. I also had really sore veiny boobs and was convinced my period was coming but it didn't. The cramps are because your uterus starts to expand. Congratulations!

And when I say the first few weeks I mean until around week 9 or 10.

I have felt like AF is coming for the first week or two of all my pregnancies. Generally just crampy and a bit sore.

Halpmer · 07/07/2021 06:10

I know I had that feeling in the first week or so, and know plenty of other ladies from Mumsnet who had cramps until 9 or 10 weeks and some a little more than that and all of us are now nearing the 20 week mark!

Thanks so much @Halpmer @GreenLeafTurnip @Elllicam you’ve eased my mind a bit!

Very normal. I started to feel like that from 5 weeks to about 9 weeks. I even bled a couple of times which was very upsetting but all was absolutely fine and normal.

thesunwillout · 07/07/2021 06:21

I've felt exactly like that op.

I remember the cramping etc being worse than normal in fact.

Totally convinced my period was on it's way a couple of days after positive test at around 3 weeks.

Fingers crossed for you x

@Amtheyest17 Congratulations!! Do you know how many DPO you are? Also, did you get any symptoms?

museumum · 07/07/2021 09:00

Yep. Early pregnancy felt like pmt for me. Sore boobs, bloated tummy and slight cramping.

Amtheyest17 · 07/07/2021 19:46

@Kay00 Ah thank you! I’m pretty sure I am 13 DPO I tested on 5DPO and 8 or 9 DPO and both BFN! I’ve been pretty sure I’ve had symptoms since ovulation (sore nips, bloating) but last couple of days been really tired, really hungry, crampy - I was convinced AF was coming!

One thing I did find odd, I break out around my jaw and I haven’t at all, also I get bad anxiety and a low mood 7-10 before my period and haven’t had that! Xx

With my first pg I felt exactly like I was coming on, then had all the same pains I usually get easing off day 3 and 4. It felt exactly like my normal period but no bleeding. Because I was so sure I was coming on I didn't bother testing til a week after I was due and it was positive. I mentioned it to the doctor and he said it was completely normal and it's because the pregnancy hormones are still rising so aren't completely overriding the normal period hormones.
