Sore nipples 1dpo - late ovulation.

I got a strong positive ovulation test result (test line darker than control line) on the evening of CD16, which is 4 days later then expected. On CD 18 I had all the telltale signs of ovulation (high sex drive, watery cm). I've had sex regularly so all days are covered. Today is 1dpo and and my nipples are quite tender and sore. I have heard that the rise of progesterone in your body after ovulation can cause sore nipples, but surely this doesn't happen as quick as 1dpo?

I'm overthinking everything right now, I have been ttc for (far) too long and I haven't ever experienced such a strong ovulation test or even such strong ovulation symptoms. I was really hopeful for this cycle but I feel like I ovulated too late and the sore nipples is just pms. Is there a chance rising progesterone could be the culprit?

Hi! Yes, sounds like progesterone. Mine sometimes get sore from 1dpo, sometimes it takes a few days to build up and make my nips sore. Joy! 🙃

I have the exact same thing. I got my positive ovulation test Thursday and woke up Saturday morning to very sore nipples, hurt to even brush past.
I have PCOS so haven’t ovulated for 3 months but when I do I have such strong symptoms. Luckily for me I then know when I am ovulating.
