@Busybird123 just wanted to jump on to say I feel your pain as I'm in a very similar situation!

I have also recently started acupuncture (3 sessions in) after hearing good things about it but can't help feeling like I'm clutching at straws!

@TBF29 I know ! Crazy I do feel the same , I'm putting in serious effort this time, cleaned up the diet the past 12 weeks off dairy and wheat , increased the excercise more walking etc , but just feeling impatient now , how long are you TTC and is it your first ?

@Busybird123 yes it's our first. I'm 34 and my husband is 33 and we started TTC in May 2019.

We just missed out on being referred to the fertility clinic for tests before Covid closed everything down for 7 months during which time I felt myself getting more and more desperate as we couldn't get any help or answers from anyone!

In the end I paid for a private screening where I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve and my husband has low morphology.

Much to our complete amazement we have conceived twice naturally this year after 18 months of nothing but that resulted in an early loss at just over 5 weeks and then a MMC of twins at 8 weeks in April.

I'm so fed up of the whole thing now as it seems so easy and straightforward for everyone else we know. I've stopped eating certain things, given up drinking, stopped using plastic bottles, only using chemical free nail varnish, deodorant and fake tan, started acupuncture etc etc etc!!

It's hard because you can only stay enthusiastic and fully focussed for so long and then the whole thing becomes so draining.

Oh i am sorry to hear of your loss , but as you said there was conception which was something, Yes ! I have done all of that no alcohol/ no plastic bottles etc , changed kitchen utensils, its all getting abit much. And worse my niece who only turned 19 just announced she's pregnant and due in a while :-(((( ... Yes i was so focsued and determined making all the changes was convinced i would get a BFP this month , but not so hopeful now :-( had that spotting last month too , so will have to wait and see ,

@Busybird123 it's so disheartening. Everyone I know seemed to conceive within 3 months so I just expected we would be similar!

Has your husband made many changes? Mine has reluctantly given up caffeine and alcohol but I do feel like a fun sponge when we go to BBQs etc and remind him we can't drink. Especially now we're allowed to see people again after months of no contact!

Have you found the Acupuncture has altered your cycle? How long do you think you will carry on with it for? I'm considering 3 months as it's approx. £200 per month for one session a week!

I know , alot of pregnancies around which is very hard , delighted to hear of the good news but very hard to see when we are going through the journey of it. Hubby has cut down on alcohol and caffeine, i found the acupuncture helped my last cycle in that there was a healthier flow of about 4-5 days which was better than the last time. I will see how this cycle goes i missed a few weeks as the acupuncturist was so busy i couldn't get a time slot. I am not sure of how much longer , it is costing 60 euros a session i have booked 6 more sessions which will bring me to the end of august but i will see how she feels i am progressing the herbs are costing me 30 euros a tub which last about 14 days . I had asked her at the beginning how much longer but she said she will review after each session .. :-/
