6dpo - wait with me?

Heyyy! 6dpo today, hoping some other ladies will hop on and can wait together 💜

Did an opk earlier (I've been doing 1 most days as I struggle to catch the positive so keep doing them just in case) and it was positive.
From all other signs (cervical mucus, cervix position, cervix firmness etc) I'm 10 dpo today.
I've had zero cervical mucus for the last 10 days, and none today.
I'm going to dtd tonight in case it is a positive opk, but I've heard of them being positive if pregnant?
I don't want to get my hopes up!!

@dbaby725 how many dpo are you? Are you going to wait for AF rather than test again?

@mummydoingamasters will you test? How many dpo are you now?

@Th197 what about you, will you be 9dpo today? Do you think you will test tomorrow?

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow I am 10dpo today although checking another of my apps it says I am 9dpo so i'm not actually sure now.

I'll probably test again in the morning and then if negative, i'm going to wait to see if AF makes an appearance.

I have definitely heard that opk tests can be positive if you are pregnant so there is a chance :) Fingers crossed for you.

Still not out yet though! Still early and lots of people don’t actually test positive until they’ve missed a period.

I’ve tested with a FRER this morning and it’s negative too but I’m trying to stay positive.

Had ewcm and a bit of spotting 8 days ago,

Then had loads of early symptoms 3 days ago, fluttering stomach, needing to pee constantly, sore nipples (I’m still breast feeding DS, so really noticed this!)

Then on Friday had loads of ewcm again.
Other than an achy back all “symptoms” have gone. I know it was probably too early for them to ha e anything to do with pregnancy - but my imagination (and heart) did run away with me there! But also hearing everyone else’s early feelings has got my hopes up a little.

I am totally clueless if the first time was just a stomach bug or stress, if I actually ovulated twice but neither took… don’t really want to do opks as worry I’ll get obsessive like pps have mentioned… would be grateful to heart any experiences of multiple ovulation or if opks made a big difference to ttc? This is only month two of trying, but I am the wrong side of peak fertility…

Period due on the 13th-15th… am I a fool to live in hope?

@dbaby725 I know I'm still in with a chance, but I think it's probably unlikely. I'm just gutted because I had so many symptoms. For the past 2-3 days I've not even been able to stand up without major dizziness. I've also been bloated, nauseous and have sore boobs (well left boob haha).

@littlejalapeno I believe your body can try multiple times to ovulate. If you've had repeat ewcm it's probably more likely that you didn't actually ovulate the first time and your body is trying again. I know what you mean about the heart running away with you though, I'm the same

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow I'm trying to keep a sensible head and ignore any symptoms and refrain from testing. I got my hopes up last month and got really upset and disappointed.

Im about 9/10 dpo right now and im having watery cm, tingly nipples and sore boobs, thirsty, coffee is a bit hit and miss, iffy tummy but with my sensible head all of these things can be explained!

It's so hard not to just let your heart and head run away to that idea of being pregnant!

@Sunshinedaisybuttermellow thank you that makes sense about ovulation, here I was daydreaming about twins 😆 like I would be that lucky in one cycle though! @mummydoingamasters the head vs heart was the bit I never expected. I’m 90% sure I’ll be disappointed in 10 days but right now I’m so full of hope. Got my fingers crossed for both of you!

Joining! Period due on 10th, not testing until then. This week can’t go fast enough!

@littlejalapeno yeah it's been a real eye opener that it's not as easy as the films and TV shows make it out to be. I'm naively hopeful though.

@Regularsizedrudy the 10th is when mine is due too. I'm trying to hold off but I'm struggling to rationalise things to myself!

Hi ladies, just got my bfp 9/10 dpo! Sending baby dust to you all! Took this test this evening so was quite shocked to see 2 line with evening pee!

I think part of my issue is that we waited for almost a year from deciding we wanted to ttc to actually doing it. It was the most sensible decision for us due to finances and covid, but it just means I've been wanting to be pregnant for so long without even trying, now we are trying I'm just so desperate for it to happen.
I'm imagining when I'd have my 12w scan, when I'd be able to find out the sex, when I'd be starting maternity leave, when I'd be due, all of it. Every month I've got it all planned out in my heart, and I'm just so gutted when it doesn't happen.

Plus I've got 3 pregnant colleagues atm so it just makes it harder.

I'm 11dpo, due tomorrow and pretty sure I'm out as tested yesterday and there was no line and now I'm crampy 😞 8 consecutive months of TTC (+3 months last year, took a five month break due to buying a house) now and I'm just exhausted. It's never going to happen.

I feel exactly the same as you. We have been trying to conceive for almost 2 years but the last two cycles I was given clomid. It didn’t work last cycle but I’m hoping it did this time. But as each day passes I feel even more and more desperate.

I’ve tested again this evening and another BFN. I’m going to leave it until Thursday/Friday now when AF is due and if she doesn’t make an appearance then I’ll test again. It’s becoming almost obsessive so I need to take a step back now.

@incywincyspiders hopefully af doesn't show, fingers crossed for you. Not everyone will get a positive at 10dpo so don't assume you're out.

@dbaby725 evening tests aren't the best before a missed period as urine is less concentrated so I wouldn't worry too much about it being negative. Hopefully you get to Thursday and have a positive test.

I'm going to wait until the weekend now I think. Last month I started spotting at 11dpo, so I reckon I'll know if af is coming tomorrow because I'll start spotting with it being 12dpo.

Have been TTC since March, came off the pill after 10 years and had withdrawal bleed 7 weeks later, first cycle was 25 days now I'm on day 32.
Just wondering how long to wait to test? Guessing my periods are still messed up from coming off the pill so have no idea!

@HR92 hi :). Do you know if you've ovulated? Generally your period will come around 2 weeks post ovulation, but the actual date can vary depending on when ovulation was. If you aren't sure it might be worth doing a test just to see.
