43 & not sure if pregnant

Hello...it’s my first time posting here & I really need advice. I’m 43, and my periods have been almost non existent for the 18 months. I thought I was in peri menopause & have been a bit casual about contraception. This week, my boobs felt huge. I did a pregnancy test, there was a faint blue line. Later that night, I tested using Clearblue digital & it said 1 - 2 weeks pregnant. I am devastated. 2 days later, I test again. One using first response with the pink line, negative test. The second with Clearblue digital, says I’m not pregnant. I’ve had no cramping, bleeding etc. Anyone got advice. I’m terrified to be possibly pregnant at 43.5

I would contact your doctor and get blood tests done to confirm. Could it be an ectopic pregnancy or a chemical pregnancy? Not sure sorry but I would consult your Dr just to be certain

Thanks for replying. I did two more digital tests, both same test same brand, one positive one negative. Starting to think that they’re positive but not enough hcg showing up each time

It does sound like that. Difficult to tell if you aren't trying or tracking. Sorry if it's not what you wanted to see. The decision is all yours and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Best of luck to you x
