Ultrasound Now Referred for TV Ultrasound

Hi,

We have been TTC #1 for 18 months now and still nothing.

I spoke to GP at the end of Feb and he asked for 21 day bloods (normal) then referred me for an ultrasound and husband for sperm analysis, awaiting results.

Had my ultrasound on 31st May and still hadn't got results from the GP, I haven't called this week as Monday they said they still didn't have results back. I will call again on Monday and see if anything has come back though.

I've just received a letter to now go for an internal scan, is that normal or could that mean something has showed up on the external scan?

I'll obviously call the doctor on Monday but just wondering what others experiences are?

Assume your scan was to check ovaries?
They normally tend to tell you there and then if anything shows up, like PCOS, endo etc

Maybe they couldn't get a good look so need to do the internal one

I would say it's normal to get the internal as it'll show more and it's a good thing to get! We're 11 cycles in (12 months) and gp are useless and we have to wait 9 months to get a fertility consultation never mind a scan so get it while you can and hopefully it'll show you the quality of your follicles and lining etc! ☺
