BBT curve - did I ovulate and when?

Hi guys,

Attached a screenshot of my BBT curve. I stopped temping after I got my flashing and solid smileys 😂

Temperatures are so low because I'm using the tempdrop armband to measure.

Does this curve look like I ovulated and when do you think I ovulated?

Ha it's probably wise to carry on temping a couple more days in the future 😁

It's hard to say without knowing when you had an LH peak, but judging by the temps alone you ovulated on the 12th. This is because the temp on the 13th is the first temp higher than the previous six.

I was going to say CD16 as looks like you had ovulation dip at CD15. But this is my first month using bbt so don't take my word for it! I'm still learning.

I've ordered a CD21 test to check if I have ovulated because I've been a little confused with my chart too.

Oh so I think I might be right 😃 you usually get a solid smiley at your peak and you will usually ovulate the day after so CD16! Woohoo let the two week wait begin! I can join you as I'm on CD4 x

My period is currently two days overdue. I usually have a 12 day luteal phase and now I'm on day 14 since ovulation. I don't think I'm pregnant. I started taking evening primrose oil and drank lots of grapefruit juice this cycle to increase ewcm. Does this lengthen the luteal phase?

@acupofteamakeseverythingbetter the algorithm to identify ovulation is based on three high temps higher than the previous six. Lots of people don't get ovulation dips so that's not a reliable thing to look out for. Ovulation happens 12-36 h after an LH peak so doesn't have to be specifically the day after. Just a knowledge dump for you!

@Foodster hmm I wouldn't imagine EPO would lengthen your LP - did you stop taking it at ovulation btw? Have you tested? 🤞

No, I didn't, and feel really bad about it. I only found out a few days ago that you shouldn't continue taking evening primrose oil in your luteal phase, but it's too late now 😕 Feel really bad about it.

No, I haven't tested. I fell pregnant in February and had a miscarriage at 4 weeks and 5 days. I found out that I was pregnant one day after my period was due.

I'm scared of testing now. If it's positive and I'm going to lose this pregnancy again, I rather not know and see it as a late period. Does that make any sense? x

@Foodster I know what you mean about pregnancy after loss and I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm so desperate to be pregnant again, but equally terrified of losing another. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, good luck x
