Hi, a couple months ago my partner & I started ttc. Second month we got a BFP, we couldn’t have been happier. I then had an early scan due to a bleed which later turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. We where absolutely heartbroken, I had never ever heard of this! We decided to continue trying, next month we got another BFP, it wasn’t quite the same this time we didn’t feel like we could get quite so excited but still deep down really thought this could be our chance. Few days later the test become fainter & AF then started. I could not be more broken right now, I can’t stop crying & im just terrified that this means we won’t be able to have the family we’ve always dreamed off. I have rang the Dr’s this morning, waiting for a call back. Has anyone experienced similar & found out the cause from the Dr’s? Had treatment or put on medication which has then led to a healthy pregnancy? Would be so greatful to hear anyone else’s stories/advise, I’m feeling really quite lost confused xxx

Hello Love, just wanted to let you know your not alone. I had my first chemical in March, which was aweful because I didnt bleed.... I didn't know I was no longer pregnant as stopped testing after + digital. But at some point I stopped being pregnant and 5 weeks after the first +, I started bleeding. I was super confused when they said there was nothing on the scan! It was classed as a chemical and I didn't really know how to handle that info. Then right at beginning of June got more positives, kept testing this time, they turned negative and 2 weeks after the negatives AF showed up (I have just finished AF now). You are NOT alone in this, it is so confusing and hurts like hell. My midwife (as the first chemical went on for ages, I had even seen a midwife) told me they are common, but don't usually mean there is a problem with you or your partner, just a "bad" egg, that wasn't going to grow and the bodies natural way of stopping it. So I think, realisticly, it is just random and when you get a "good" egg, it will grow!

Fingers crossed for you xxxxxxxxxxxx

I had one before my first and been trying again since dec and had one every cycle, been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. Depending on where you live you either get referred after 2 or 3. 🤞🏻 for you most of the time it's a chromosomal abnormality and my dr told me apparently 25% of pregnancies happen this way so hopefully your next one will be sticky 💕 sending lots of hugs it's not a nice thing to go through always here if you wanted a chat

@MamatoEsme Thank you for your message & sharing your experience. I am so sorry to hear that you have also gone through this. I didn't expect to be no longer pregnant at my scan either as thought once you've got a positive thats it.. didnt test again! Wishing you the best of luck on your next cycle. Will keep my fingers crossed for you! xxx
