Gonal F cycle stopped as nurse said I ovulated…..but I didn’t

Hi,

I wondered if anyone else has had any experience with this?

I was taking the lowest dose of gonal f, 37.5, for the first time this cycle. I had a scan on day 6 which showed a 15mm follicle, nurse said it could be a follicle or a cyst. I had another scan on day 9 and the nurse said it looks more like a follicle this cycle but could still be a cyst.

On my day 11 scan (Wednesday), the nurse showed me the collapsed follicle and said I’ve ovulated. I’ve been taking my temp and it’s not increased, so I’m assuming it was a cyst and not a follicle.

I’m so upset as I’ve now stopped taking the gonal f as she told me to, but I haven’t even ovulated. Will I be able to do anything else this cycle? I know they’re very black and white and probably can’t do anything until I get my blood results back showing I haven’t ovulated but I just can’t believe it’s a failed cycle and I didn’t even ovulate.

I know it's an old post but just wondering how you went on as I'm having the same issue. I was on day 6 of my cycle and day 5 of injecting with Gonal f and my clinic called me saying they have to cancel my IVF cycle as I have already ovulated (only confirmed through blood test). I have a regular cycle and I had just had my period and was still spotting from my period. I really don't think I ovulated while I was on my period!! Is that even possible? Could my progesterone just be on the higher side all the time? I really hope everything worked out for you in the end 🌟
